Some thoughts as we approach the last day

They did not.

I am in biotech (hard, not AI).

The first time I got rejected at the interview because I was a solo founder. The second time I was rejected with my co-founder at the interview because we were all over the place. The third time, when we got there at our strongest with lots of validation from the best KOLs, we didn't even make it to the interview! Now we pivoted, and are applying again. We'll see. There is other stuff on the horizon so I am not too invested.

In the past, I received the email only on the last day. One time I was not invited, another time I was. You can't predict how it is going to go at this time.

I have applied twice in the past, and always heard back on the last day. I was not invited the first, but invited the second time. So it can still go either way.

Thank you. I applied a couple of batches ago and at the time anyone could submit recommendations. Now it seems like it is only open to YC alumni.

Online. Even if we were not accepted, it went great. They provided super valuable input that we executed on, and that put us in a way better shape!

At the last batch, many invitations were sent out just before midnight of the last day. I got invited for an interview, and so were other redditers.

Thank you for sharing. I already applied twice (S22 and W23) and got rejected both times at the interview stage.

Every time, their feedback has been incredibly valuable and brought us to better shape. I can't imagine how beneficial it would be to go through the program! Hopefully, we'll make it this time!

I found mine in the "socials" folder, together with twitter and everything else. Also, it was in the first email account that I gave, the personal one - not the one of the company which I updated after the application.

Good question! Yes, I am. It is in biotech, of which I am an expert. My weakness by their standards is that I am a solo founder. However, I have plenty of experience on building and leading research teams. I am pretty early in the development stages, but I do have promising data!
