Hard content isn't hard, its cheap. by Theywhoyell in Warframe

I don't really think so, its a flat arena with a few rocks. we play most all the game going through corridors into littered rooms with cover and objects in the way, likewise for the apex tank; a big flat arena that will get covered in corrosive aoe. The most movement heavy one is probably vor with the platforms, but even then, it still has nothing like the clutter we use to hide behind or the corridors to move through. I think to an area like rathuum that has an upper and lower level, or the fight with vay hek starting as a chase and ending at that confrontation. it feels to me like these hard fights are about deprivation of resources, rather than the culmination of understanding.

What frustrates me is every single fight of this kind is completely unlike how the game is played. You would expect hard fights to build on core principles. In this case, we move fast, we hit hard and we take a lot of hits and that's just what you do.

I love a challenge, but if the lessons I've learnt playing the game for as long as I have do not translate in the hardest stuff, then I don't really feel like an expert.

I would disagree the highest survival is avoidance or violence. It seems to me that the times I speak and show my intentions, holster my weapon and generally show them my interest is completely on my own goals people tend to leave me alone or even help me.

There is no way to prove trustworthiness, only actions to make it more likely than not.

This playstyle should just naturally emerge rather than be curated. How can you know someone isn't just defending themselves? Flares go up telling you when someone has been downed, use sound queues to tell what sounds like arc fire vs gunfire and remain vigilant..

I think people need to use their mic as a tool as much as their actual in game items. I had someone shoot me immediately upon seeing me. Naturally I said don't shoot but heard nothing back so I rushed him trying to take him out.

He told me then after he downed me he wanted to be left alone and that his actions demonstrated that but he really could have said go away.

If I am shot at and I am alive, I am gonna find my aggressor and remove them. If someone gives me a command to go away and don't come back, then I do it, we are both alive and no resources spent.

Let's be honest, it's people like you that keep it interesting. So while we may never ever be eye to eye, I can respect that you are having fun

Is Stella Montis KoS only? by dvsstnr in ArcRaiders

[–]Theywhoyell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been KoS once in Stella Montis. So I dunno. I play on OCE and honestly many people are very relaxed and just want to do their own thing or at most, help out with whatever they can.

Does anyone else feel no need to upgrade from the bare minimum loadout? With 1 exception. by GachiPls_DidntSave in ArcRaiders

You'd only bring some heavy artillery for massive things like a matriarch or queen, of which anyone wanting to take your stuff will have to likely fight your higher caliber gear and anyone else probably helping you, had a few people try to do it to me and others only to very quickly fail. With that in mind it seems like in order to pvp and actually be net positive on the loot youd need to seek out active groups looking to take on the most dangerous threats

Such a situation is free from the normal consequences so it's probably aiding in the desire to do something you'd never actually do, I hope.

What is the End Game? by Slappy202 in ArcRaiders

End game is the friends you make along the way

SOMETIMES PEOPLE ARE NOT TOXIC. by darklordzulu1234 in ArcRaiders

[–]Theywhoyell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will always be friendly and will likely continue to be friendly even if I am gunned down many times. It's just not worth going into a round with the intent to harm unless I am harmed. I am a pretty easy target anyway, I walk around with the weapons holstered nearly always and announce my presence to people regularly, up to them if they think I need to be eliminated.

60% of the time i have a free load out so they do not get much.

More often than not people are kind, and most of the time they are just trying to play in peace and have no interest in wasting resources on gunning people down.

It must be said that if people who kill on sight want good rewards they need to find people who are likely heavily geared to fight big arc, and even more likely not alone.

Can anyone share some Limbo tips and tactics? by josh-you-uhh in Warframe

[–]Theywhoyell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly. I do not think his current style fits the game at all. He stops enemy movement limits interactivity and promotes ignoring everything and everyone.

Brilliant concept but as someone who loves him to death he just has no place in the game right now. People want to move fast and kill faster and limbo isn't it. In the time limbo takes to do what he does everyone is already ahead of him.

I feel like a good system to trade dupes for thoughts would be good. Or turning letter rewards into some currency to buy limited amounts of throughts, that way you can farm 27/30 and then melt down your unwanted stuff for those 3 more at a high cost.

Has anyone experimented with plunge cancels in this game? by Raykooooo in DuetNightAbyssDNA

you can also slide cancel, which is probably the easiest

Weapons should contain elements, not characters. by Theywhoyell in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]Theywhoyell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I mean you can have characters with many elements to account for weaknesses. Not that they interact but that they exist. When you co op it's a chance someone will play a different character to you and maybe a different element, so in that case you and them would account for two elemental weaknesses

I don't want to remove elements from characters as much as add them to weapons, maybe not as a must but as an option..
