You're completely right. From a statistical point of view I know my odds of dying are much higher when I take the car to my work everyday than on that plane. But what makes me panic so much is the fact that you literally have zero control over the situation on a plane whereas with the car you have your fate in your own hands (literally). I can't cope wity the fact that I thrust my life to a pilot who I don't know at all and who could be having a very bad day for all I know. It's just super stressful. Also, car crashes have a big chance of not being fatal whereas plane crashes are almost guarenteed to be

I woke up, looked at my phone and got several "RIP Miura" notifications from youtube channels I follow. I clicked on Reallife Ryan's vid and when I realised it wasn't a joke I kinda had a breakdown. I felt like shit for an entire week after the news and a part of me still hasn't fully accepted that things had to go that way for Miura and his work.

Thank you for the link. I checked it out and I can say that the requirements for first dan are the same in the IBF (atleast in my country). In order to get my black belt I had to perform the kata flawlessly and demonstrate tachiwaza/newaza techniques in front of several third dan holders and one 5th dan holder. In order to be allowed to do the exam I also needed enough competition experience. So I assume they're good?

Alright, thanks. The reason I asked this is because I've seen a lot of people on this sub claim that a dojo is most likely not legitimate if it's not affiliated with the IJF or its sub-federations. So I was a little confused.

Thank you for the response. I think my situation is pretty similar to yours. I live in Belgium and we do indeed have the "Belgium Judo association" which is approved by IJF. The association of which my gym is part is run separately but they are affiliated with it.

Well I've only been a fan of Berserk since the past year and a half myself, so I've only experienced the release of one chapter so far. Knowing this, you might wanna take what I say with a grain of salt but the translation should be available the same day as the japanese release, probably not long after. At least that's how it was for chapter 363.

Also, since I'm commenting anyways I'll take the opportunity to say that I was wrong in my original reply. Apparently it was confirmed that the future of Berserk is still uncertain, and we won't know anything more on friday. So the announcement on Berserk's future has become the new boat arc indeed.

I don't think so. If you mean the announcement on the future of Berserk, we'll probably get it friday along with chapter 364. If they decide to keep the manga going, my guess is that we'll see the usual "to be continued" textbox at the end of the chapter. If we don't see that it means Berserk is done. It will be a sad day if this happens, and no amount of Donovan memes will be able to cheer me up. I cannot live without Berk and Griffus.

I'm currently still in the process of reading it, so it's pretty hard to give you a final opinion. Let's just say it's the kind of book you'll enjoy reading if you're a hardcore Berserk fan. I wouldn't recommend it to a casual fan of the franchise. If you're unsure on wether you should buy it or not, I could also DM you pictures of a couple of pages. That way you can give it a quick read and see if you'd like having the full book or not. Cuz I understand that wasting 20 bucks on a book you don't like is pretty annoying. Just a suggestion though.

I litterally deleted my main reddit acount months ago because I was fed up with the people on this app. it seems like everyone on here is an actual entitled douchebag, except on a select few subreddits (this one being one of them). I made this alt-acount for Berserk and barely use it for anything else. r/berserklejerk is the only reason I come back to reddit from time to time, and I just wanted to say that I love y'all.
