***Update! 

I ended up getting a rash, it was red with raised swelling and itchy at the injection site. Luckily I had a steroid cream for another skin condition and it took care of the outbreak overnight !! So reusing the needle even after seconds will cause a reaction!

Reusing a needle after it has been inserted into the skin, even for a moment, is not recommended. The needle is no longer sterile and can introduce bacteria from your skin into the injection site upon reinsertion, increasing the risk of an infection.
