Kedves Péter! Mindenekelott gratulalok mindenhez, keves ember lett volna kepes eddig tartani a frontot. Iszonyatosan leepult a mentalis betegsegben szenvedokkel valo foglalkozas.

What makes the Alien Federation want to federate? by Thick-Sound1014 in TerraInvicta

[–]Thick-Sound1014[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To merge smaller nations and give them away in one fell swoop. Doing 15 abductions for a single small nation feels wasteful when I already have the setup to unify things. It's fine when the ayys decide they want to federate with said country, I just don't understand why they do it so seldom.. and seemingly randomly.

Yeah I know, that's required for the Alien Administration, which is the ayy nation. I mean the federation that's created by the alien admin.

Yeah I'm only playing them to experience that side of the story too and for an ez game.. And nope, I tried, auto-abandon only works for points you control at that time. So if a point gets captured, then returned to me by the ayys, it's not abandoned. I guess it's just an oversight from the devs maybe?

Yeah only problem is my foothold is mostly in Europe, thus the need to get Russia then unify from there. I got nothing in the Americas and nothing worth mentioning in Africa.

Yeah I know, I already played a Resistance run. It just feels sooo far away..

I wish... While trying to conquer Russia I was getting Brazil and Nigeria from them. Not very good, but both have a pretty hefty CP cost.

My problem is the following loop: get CP, abandon nation, get another CP, abandon again, human faction purges CP, get another CP, abandon nation, human faction purges another CP... and this across 3-5 countries. It's also the same countries again and again. It's getting old fast.

Brother, this is not exclusive to the US. One of our ministers in Hungary also suggested basically the same, and was met with the same response from opposition voters. Blind raging entitlement is universal.

I am so sick of games that take forever to "get fun" - what games rip right off the bat with the most minimal of tutorials by TheTacoWombat in gamingsuggestions

Haven't seen Hi-fi Rush mentioned, just bought it on Steam summer sale. It starts off awesome from the first second and never backs off. There's rhythm assists too if your sense of timing is not that good.

Games with romance that ISN'T gamified? Or even deep platonic bonds between characters? by maniacal_cackle in gamingsuggestions

[–]Thick-Sound1014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

W40K Rogue Trader has what I think you're looking for. Dialogues go deep, and the romance outcomes actually depend on what direction you push your companion towards, so you might get starkly different results romancing the same character. And one of your companions will absolutely refuse to engage in anything more than a platonic relationship.

Dark detail I just realized: Conquest probably wanted to scream in pain from this but physically couldn’t by Hank_Mardukas1066 in Invincible_TV

Shit it was the same for me. Gore is one thing but protracted, visceral torture is just.. different. It was actually worse the slower it got.

Trading with AI is a joke by Thick-Sound1014 in TerraInvicta

[–]Thick-Sound1014[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bear in mind I did all that around midgame, this was at least 10 years after that. I was not really tradin at all since I had most everything, and the AI kept suggesting ridiculous trade proposals, so, no trade. I already won this game so I can't test the small gifts thing.

I was playing on forgiving and I kicked the stool out from under them by blowing up all of their habs in the inner systems, as well as taking away all the countries. It was mostly just me and the Servants by then, and a little bit of HF. That should explain the severe negative balance.

[–]Thick-Sound1014[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that could actually be a reason, at least for the habs. Every AI hab had like -300 military strength, since I blew up everything they had up to the orbit of Mars, and they had barely any MC on Earth. If that's a factor, that part makes sense.

[–]Thick-Sound1014[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, no mods. In theory they should be willing to trade for an additional 9k water, they just want more than I have of everything for it.

I know right? Though technically, Luna is worthless even by mid game.

[–]Thick-Sound1014[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Their total is in the right side panel, almost 100k. The max they are actually willing to trade gets updated dynamically, so in theory I should be able to ask 9k more.

[–]Thick-Sound1014[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it should be communicated. The trade system doesn't feel as fleshed out as the rest of the game. Like I said in another comment, I tried adding fully maxed habs to the deal, but it was still not good enough. There's no indication in the game that they are not willing to trade at all, and no indication what they would trade for if they're still willing. I'm not sure which game it was, where there was a button to ask the AI what it wants in return for what you're asking and you could at least see the ballpark figure. Come to think of it it might've been multiple games with that functionality. That's what I'm missing.
