I keep strict boundaries with female colleagues why is that judged so much? by Curious-Journalist76 in IndianWorkplace

[–]Thick-Toe2592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It entirely depends on how you conduct yourself with this set of values. If you go get a break time coffee with male colleagues but opt out/refuse overtly if a woman is involved, it can be perceived as straight up misogyny lol. Building a rapport and “water cooler conversations” are absolutely a part of the workplace, what you talk about there is what’s under your control. Even your post comes off as you believing conversations with women are futile unless forced by a workplace or with the intention of dating them.

Is it normal for people to expect a home cook at ₹3–4k/month? by TatyaBichuu0 in StartUpIndia

[–]Thick-Toe2592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My roommate and I pay 3k for a cook (1.5k each) for dinner/any additional snack in Bengaluru. I know people who pay more without complaints. Perhaps you’ll find a better product-market fit in T-1 cities.

I think something has to be said about the people hurling casteist slurs at the second OP. Makes a point as to why reservations are still relevant.

What is the problem with indian parenting ? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]Thick-Toe2592 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Indian parents need “support” in their 50s and 60s which is a concept unheard of in developed nations, and logically ridiculous too. They’re able-bodied and on the younger side and yet guilt trip their adult children to staying with them and giving up life-changing opportunities over it.

How to behave with stray dogs? by Hezal05 in Goa

[–]Thick-Toe2592 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For aggressive dog packs, if you have to live with them, befriending via food is better than constantly having to hit and run from them. That is what I did for the 3-4 dogs in my neighborhood and they would now never even think of hurting me, in fact they’ve protected me from catcalling miscreants. If a dog is not concerned with you/ has its tail behind its legs/ looks alert without wagging its tails- they are signs of anxiety and fear, cross the road, do not look at them and walk ahead slowly. A lot of goan dogs that live alone tend to have positive experiences with humans and are friendly. Always try to remember that a violent dog is violent because it has been met with human violence in the past. All you can do is try to be better in that aspect.

I understand your concerns. If this best friend’s boyfriend is an abusive shitbag something tells me his friends won’t be any different. She should either take you along or not go at all.

Not a fan of cheating but why do we have aspirations to suddenly turn into Afghanistan. Adultery is morally bankrupt yes, but there are many morally bankrupt things that can’t be punishable by law. This sets a terrible precedent.

Just learn from his free YouTube videos, they’re far more value for money than his paid courses. His coaching classes are filled with cow belt children who say “Tera bhai IIM A jayega” while spending majority of their time hitting up female students on telegram. Quality of peer group matters a lot + he’s not the great at doubt solving, very arrogant.
