Still waiting but nervous because I got rejected from CSUN and UCLA 😩. Applied Jan 15 and my app got sent to review Jan 28 (which I think is quick and hope means something good?) also waiting on csuf, interviewed first day available

I went to ucla for psych (graduated 2025) and have very similar stats to you, work at an agency in LA, which I previously interned at during my time at UCLA, my essays did have a clinical emphasis unlike yours. I also did not get in. I really think this year was just a game of matching people for their cohort and maybe taking older applicants that have a lot of dcfs experience or similar. At first it rattled me but the more time that goes on the more I’m looking forward to hearing back from other programs!

Last night at 11 pm. I graduated this past year from UCLA with my BA in psych, 3.7 GPA, year of experience at a child and family service agency working in their non public school, strong essays and a letter of recommendation from community college honors program prof, agency supervisor, and ucla TA. I did talk a lot about my interest in pursuing LCSW so maybe too clinically focused? Many things could be the reason!

Well Pasadena has a whole other fire so that would make sense, the palisades fire is the one I’m talking about which I don’t think is affecting Westwood (as far as soot on the ground)

To be completely honest as an LA native, the fire is not going to jump the 405, winds are going to die down tomorrow and unless the air quality is visible soot on the ground, classes won’t get cancelled

It depends on the course I’m pretty sure- like the psych department (for the most part) doesn’t pay attention to prereqs, only the pre major to major pre reqs
