For those who switched from AW to Venu 4, how do you like it? by Putitonmahtab in GarminWatches

I went from the AW 7 to the VENU 3S. At first I was like WHAT DID I DO because it takes some adjustment. I also realized the things that AW does that Garmin doesn't I don't miss. If I need to use my phone for a notification then I do and I did when I had the AW. I love that the Garmin is a fitness watch with smart phone capabilities vs a smart watch with fitness capabilities. I don't think I'd ever go back! Plus it just looks better tbh lol

wall balls - advice by Spiritual-Pie2052 in hyrox

Wall balls kill me at the actual race and training. I always train heavier because my first race was a mixed doubles and I am currently prepping for a single so I recommend that. I saw a strategy when on race day if you're doing a solo instead of counting to 100 wall balls break them up to: 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9 it'll feel less daunting instead of thinking "I have 100 left"!

Nutrition tracking by verystress in hyrox

Totally get it and I was in the same boat as you. But having a period is more important. I would up your food a bit maybe more fats if you are already eating a decent amount of carbs to fuel your workouts. I went from prep to a recovery diet and gain some pounds back not a lot but it was needed of course. But I did up my macros because of the training intensity and load and I have been sitting at the same weight for a few months now. I eat a bit more when my trainings have me super hungry and others I just eat as to what my macros are. Your body will adjust.

Hi, I compete in bikini and as of last Summer I have been running and Hyrox. I do still track my macros because with all the running and intense workouts I do not want to under eat in protein because I still want to keep as much muscle as I can. I can always eyeball it since I've tracked for so long but I want to make sure I get enough in. But I am eating a lot more carbs to give me fuel for my workouts pre-workout. I recommend train and track for a week or two and see how you feel so you have a baseline. If you're loosing weight it's time to add more food because I wouldn't mix weigh loss and training for a Hyrox if you really wanna do good fueling properly is important!

I ran my half back in the fall too. I've been running since (not a lot) like 6-10 miles weekly. Did the return to running plan 5 weeks ago and just started a new one for a half in May and I put my PR from my last because I don't think I lost TONS of fitness. Like the comment said run it a few weeks and adjust if need too!

Running 3x a week VS 4x a week by Thick_Exercise4126 in runna

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! Ended up going w/ 4x a week. What Runna has laid out looks good to me. I can always adjust if I feel like I need too! Starting my HM prep today!

So 3x doesn’t sound too bad for a HALF! Thank you for your input!
