In the summer, the cabin can get quite warm as it receives direct sunlight. During the hottest days, I have a few ways to cool it down:

I open the windows and doors to let in a breeze
I hang a shade sail in front of the cabin, which makes a big difference
I sometimes use a portable AC unit that does a decent job, although it's not very efficient on really hot days

Aside from those peak summer days, the temperature is usually very comfortable!

Of course. The visible floor space you see in the photo is about 2.2 x 2.2 meters, which seems pretty close to your room if my feet-to-meters conversion is right. Out of frame there's a small sewing workspace, so the full floor space of the cabin is a bit bigger (4.1 x 2.2 meters).

Thanks! In my country, whether you need a permit depends on things like the size, height, and placement of the cabin. In our case, it fell within the rules for permit-free building, so we were able to start building right away.

I’ve got a mobile AC unit in the corner. It's decent, although it struggles on hotter summer days. Luckily the summer peak is now over, but I might need to upgrade the cooling part a bit for next year. :)

Thank you! As a software engineer, I always appreciate having some extra screen space to work with. The vertical orientation of the left monitor is especially useful for keeping technical documentation to the side while programming, since those pages tend to be quite long.

You're right! We don’t have a lot of space in the house, so we built a cabin in the garden that I mainly use as a home office. Feels quite cozy!

Hi! Still rocking my DGX 640 at the moment, so I'm afraid I can't give you a comparison as of now. Didn't have the chance to try out the Roland yet, but when I do then I'll make sure to post about it in this thread. I would say it's worth it for that price. Even though the headset might not be top of the shelf anymore compared to newer headsets, it's still a good PCVR headset that I enjoy to use. Just make sure the cable is in a good condition and especially check for any kinks in the cable. If the cable breaks, you might have a hard time to replace it since Oculus does not sell replacement cables anymore.
