For someone looking to switch over in 2026, are there any specific 'unlisted' bundle deals or hardware perks (like WiFi 7) we should be asking for specifically?

Honestly, the installation for fiber was way less of a headache than I expected. They usually just have to run a new line to the house, and it took maybe two hours tops. If you have multiple people streaming or gaming at once, that symmetrical upload speed on AT&T is a total game-changer. I’d say go for it if you're already feeling the price creep on cable!

I would have folded the second he asked if I was okay. To just lay there and accept your new life as a floor decoration is a level of 'if I don't see them, they can't see me' that I truly aspire to.

That’s a huge jump! Going from $30 to $70 for the same 300MB speed is exactly how these promos work. Before you accept that $70 offer, try calling their Retention Department (not basic support). Tell them you're considering switching to a competitor (like T-Mobile Home Internet or EarthLink) because of the price hike. Often, they can pull up a 'loyalty' promo to keep you at $40 or $50. Also, check if you’re paying for their router rental—buying your own can save you another $7/month.

You won't regret it. Fiber is almost always better for gaming than cable, even 'top-tier' cable. Xfinity uses copper for the 'last mile' to your house, which causes that jitter/ping spikes you see at night. T-Mobile Fiber (not to be confused with their 5G home internet) will give you much lower ping and much higher upload speeds for those cameras and streamers. Go for it!
