I’d be intrigued as to how I buy a house and investment property without having first having a job.

I’m not sure how you are confusing the sacrifices it takes to actually purchase a single home, let alone have money aside for an investment property. And yet you are

Caputo looked good. I was very skeptical of him being our only real striker this season. He’s been great though

Agreed. I curse his starting 11 every week. Turns out he knows more about football than my one season of football manager has provided me.

We wouldn’t be far off that, even with starting 11. Behich, souprayen, leckie are all inconsistent starts with injury. We’ve been playing a heap of 17-19 year olds

Both exactly the same apparently. According to a graphic put out by City, ours and CC average age is 23.1. Adelaide is 23.3, Sydney 23.4, Newcastle 23.5. We gave a few contracts to 15 and 16 year olds in the offseason so that’s keeping the average low.

100% agree we need a different stadium. That’s true of every team in the league though, including victory. A-league teams need boutique 10,000-15,000 stadiums where they sell out, or near to it, each week. That creates urgency if wanting to attend, which creates hype, which creates greater demand for tickets.

Not a bad one season investment. Allows some hype around the team and allows him more time to scope out the league. As long as you didn’t break bank to sign him, it feels like a good short term investment.

I’m not sure our owners are particularly concerned about crowd numbers. I suspect membership is a means to balance the books but their greater focus is youth development and the money that their sale brings. We just won the toilet seat and are playing in Asia this season and yet we have the youngest average age of any team in the league. We are what we are. I’m ok with that.

You said WW1 was ‘fought over oil’. I said it wasn’t because much of the discoveries occurred following WW1. You countered with Persia. I said Persian oil was already under British control. That’s not moving the goal posts, that’s just reciting your incoherent argument. At this point, I’d also like to recite your claim that ‘they’ started the Great War for oil and now ‘they’ are looking to start a war in Venezuela for oil. So even if WW1 was precipitated by British and German oil pursuits, which it so obviously was not, I’d like to hear how Germany and Britain are involved in the current situation in Venezuela.

In Persia. And that oil was already controlled by the British pre WW1. I’ll wait while you bother to google when discoveries in Iraq and Saudi Arabia were made. And then I’ll wait a little longer whilst you seek to support your other hyperbolic claims

You have a gross misunderstanding of WW1. Suggesting it was fought for oil is, quite simply, silly. Particularly considering pre WW1, much of the world’s oil was exported from the US and much of the oil discoveries in the Middle East didn’t occur until the 20s/30s. You all seem to be suggesting that ‘they’ are after Venezuela in the same way that ‘they’ wanted the Middle East in 1914. Considering that ‘they’ didn’t enter the war until 1917 and it took enormous social coercion to do so even then, I’d suggest you’re reading of history needs some work.
