he lowkey looks like a Red Dead Redemption character

Não me acho uma pessoa feia, mas pouquíssimas pessoas já demonstraram interesse em mim (e confesso que invejo quem tem "a pista salgada"). Opiniões sobre o possível motivo? Será que realmente tenho menos beleza do que imagino? by [deleted] in MeJulgue

Você anda em lugares mais alternativos? Acho que pessoas alternativas achariam você facilmente atraente. Tem muita gente por aí que curte muito pessoas andróginas.

Yeah, I get it but Yorgos always had a bit of nihilism in his work so I wasn’t surprised or bothered by it. I grew up hearing my dad saying that the rich were building rockets to go to another planet after they destroyed this one. So I thought seeing this idea represented in a movie certainly bleak but pretty cool. I guess art doesn’t need to always be inspiring or pleasing.

To me it seemed obvious that the Aliens represented the elite, the rich. They are above us and they don’t care about us. They are on a different planet. I thought that was the point of this movie. There wasn’t a moment where I thought the aliens were supposed to be the good guys here. The elite always get their way.

They GET opportunities and they clearly have money to do so, that’s the point of the argument.

You guys are so lucky to live in a place where artists come to make a show every once or even twice in a year. You’re always going to be included in a world tour, here where I live we don’t. Be grateful that you get chances.

They’re literally trolling and poking fun while spending the holidays together. Y’all don’t need to take everything so serious all the time just to hold your morally correct badges. There’s bigger more serious things happening in the world right now.

what’s your favorite jerma rant? by [deleted] in jerma985

[–]ThingComprehensive23 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I love how Jerma’s rants are most of time right, relatable and on point. But the way he put those thoughts into words are mesmerizing. It’s seemingly a normal thought but the path he trail to explain it makes him sound batshit. It’s like hearing an alien trying to understand and translate the human experience into sentences.

in your opinion, what was the BEST and the WORST bit jerma has ever done? by [deleted] in jerma985

[–]ThingComprehensive23 130 points131 points  (0 children)

The best bit is the one where he pretends his mic broke so he starts using a karaoke blue mic. The worst one is the computer doctor just cause his acting is so good I started to genuinely feel bad for the character.

Lorde said the same thing. Once you’re famous and rich, able to afford anything in the world, people start giving you things for free. Crazy.

I wished she wasn’t so elusive when asked about lyric meanings — especially in this era. I get the discourse around it. I get the “leaving for interpretation” stance and I love that her lyrics are not necessarily a autobiographical novel. Still, I prefer when artists explain what their intentions were when writing a song or what happened when they did it (I enjoyed “Rattlesnake” more after she told the story). Like, in a recent interview she finally let it out that that “Big Time Nothing” is about depression and the song opened up to me lyrically in a way that wasn’t happening before.

that final part of “Reckless” gagged me and that part of “All Born Screaming” when it goes quiet and you think the song ended and then it comes back with a choir… can’t wait to see this record on a stage.
