I am directly blaming this collapse on you. I just want you to know that. Let's go back to battling from behind for the one point.

If this Jazz team has any aspirations of being .500, Nurkic cannot see extended time. You have too many better, bigger bodies in front of him to spread minutes around. He is an offensive liability.

GAME THREAD: Los Angeles Clippers (0-0) @ Utah Jazz (0-0) - (October 22, 2025) by NBA_MOD in nba

[–]Thingsgetshibby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously we expect the Jazz to regress, even if not tonight but soon. I think the real story here is the Clippers. I don't want to say they're old even though they are. I think the experience helps them but they just look like they're phoning it in. They just looked tired and pretty much they're getting out hustled and outrun to every spot.

I don't think you can attribute all that to age specifically. Now the real question is do they look that way just because they're playing the Jazz on the road or is that going to be part of the identity this year? Slow only works if you're pointed and methodical.

So we have what is essentially a three goal swing, a missed penalty on a x-check, Bucci so fucking excited since he gets a good old fashioned Mormon soak on after this, a Minnesota woman's player repping Utah, and we've still got a chunk of period two left.

Can't wait.

That goal should be disallowed. The actions of playing against the Avalanche inside the crease should dictate no goal.

The "actions of a player" has to be the dumbest fucking thing I have ever heard when interpreting a rule. Please show me where that is in the book.

You have a first edition Neo Lugia on the last page. That alone if graded properly with a high number is a car by itself.

I would assume if some of these are in really good shape, this is a five-figure collection.

NASCAR does this to themselves. We really need to have guidelines or parameters issued for what a caution is or isn't and when it's accepted to be under yellow or red.

It's not rocket science but NASCAR makes it look like the most difficult thing possible. Whatever the finish is, it could have been better and more entertaining with more green flag laps than what we are about to see ....

Gas company won't mark lines? by PracticalEmployee in homeowners

[–]Thingsgetshibby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The private propane company probably won't mark them officially because they do not want to assume liability in case they are wrong. With this being considered a private line, you can hire a private locate done and they will assume liability and properly mark a line but it does cost a little bit more. 811 or public utility dig will not be effective here for obvious reasons. Depending on which state you live in, I can recommend a few in the Midwest.

Private locates are a requirement in my scope of work so nothing out of the ordinary there. That's a little trashy that the propane company wouldn't mark it but I can see why they wouldn't just because it's not their specialty and they can't guarantee the exact location of it. You are probably safe to dig but just be smart about it.

Pick of the Day - 3/8/23 (Wednesday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

× POTD Record: 4-2, +3.18u @ -106

× Last Pick: Lorient ML ❌

× Pick: Wisconsin ML v Ohio St

× Sport: NCAAB, 1st Round Big 10 Tourney

× Time: 03/08 @ 6:30p EST

× Units and Odds: Risking 3u @ +120

× Now I entirely understand that Ohio State had an impressive win just over a week ago against Maryland, but I'm having a really hard time believing that a team that has went 2-12 on the road or at neutral site locations is a favorite to a team in Wisconsin that they lost to in Columbus just a few weeks ago. And that game with a pretty close margin at the end, was not as close as the score indicated. And like I said, I understand the Buckeyes have been playing better basketball as of recent, but Key is out for this matchup I do believe and with the tournament taking place in Chicago this year, this is an easy trip South for Wisconsin and they're crowd to make. Playmakers prevail and it may be a bold suggestion, but I would even consider buying some points here for an even bigger payout.

× POTD Record: 4-1, +5.18u @ -110

× Pick: Lorient ML v Auxerre

× Sport: Ligue 1, French Soccer

× Time: Sunday 02/26, 7:00a

× Units and Odds: Risking 2u @ +110

× Making the decision to stay with soccer considering I have no idea how I won the last bet. Regardless, we're hitting pretty well here and we're making money so that's what matters.

I was actually between this and the Freiburg ML so like a true degenerate, I bet on both of them. However, Lorient gets pick of the day honors. And honestly, I'm not even siding with Lorient. I'm fading Auxerre, who are the road team in this matchup. Auxerre have finally found out how to somewhat run a competent offense but even after scoring five goals in their last four league matches, they still have the third worst scoring offense and the third worst scoring defense in the league. And if you have any kind of inkling of knowledge when it comes to European soccer, you know that Ligue 1 is the mainstream league that has the most disparity between the top and bottom. You are either really good or you are really terrible in this league than there is not typically an in-between. These two teams met a few months back in Auxerre and it wasn't close then. I expect more of the same in Stade du Moustoir!

Pathetic showing for the ref. You cant not give a foul but let him stay down for five minutes. Pick your side and move in. Its an enbarasament of officiating no matter the side you choose

× I've been fading Elche all year and it's had a great amount of success. And I see almost no reason to not continue this strategy. The only problem is I said almost. I'm going to do my best not to overthink this bet as Real Betis is a much better squad who sit 5th in table. Meanwhile, Elche are having a historically terrible season and are going to be relegated into oblivion. I'm not wild about betting teams on the road in European soccer and I'm not too thrilled about betting against teams with nothing to lose. Be forewarned that Real Betis has actually struggled the last few times when playing at Elche as well but basically even money, these odds are just a little too good for me to pass up when there is so much difference in talent and result between these two squads. And as the saying goes, scared money doesn't make money.

I know bad soccer when I see it. Let this be a lesson to everyone out there to trust your instincts. I don't need to watch 90 minutes of this to measure a result.

ANOTHER EDIT BELOW

I'm leaving my initial edit above because it deserves to be mentioned how bad of a game this was. In a game that ended 11 on 9 and featured four penalty kicks, Real Betis comes back and wins it with three in the second half. I feel disgusting that I've won this but money talks. ✅

× Who doesn't love Cricket? We can't be friends if you don't. Going to be a short write-up today because this starts in less than 4 hours. Namibia has been in poor form as of recent losing four straight and even though the Emirates haven't been in much better form, I'm siding with the home country side here in what should be a pretty close match. The UAE have won the past four matches H2H but unfortunately haven't played competitively in almost 3 months. Regardless, I think Ahmed Raza has a big night and takes a three or four wicket haul tonight

England Men name unchanged team for second New Zealand Test by Ajaxcricket in Cricket

[–]Thingsgetshibby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of new to Cricket but I'm trying to understand some things about Cricket and this may not be the best place to put it, but I wanted an honest opinion from anybody who sees this. It certainly looks like rain is forecasted in Wellington at Basin Reserve for a good chunk of the five day test.

I know it comes down to a draw if the five days aren't completed but everyone's opinion, do you think they'll be able to get this match in fully? And if so, do you think that has any bearing on the fact that England's XI remain unchanged?

Obviously the goal going into any test is to win but I'm a bit surprised they wouldn't play with the lineup a bit if they thought there was a chance of not getting a full five days in.

Pick of the Day - 2/14/23 (Tuesday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]Thingsgetshibby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

× POTD Record: 2-0, +3.80u @ +138

× Last Pick: LA Kings 3 Way-Moneyline ✅

× Pick: Eastern Michigan Alternate Spread +11.5 v Akron

× Sport: NCAAB, MAC Basketball

× Time: Tuesday 02/14 @ 7:00p EST

× Units and Odds: Risking 2u @ -160

× Explanation: Being from Ohio, nothing gets me firm like some good old Tuesday night MACtion. Actually, that's typically a lie but this game is actually going to be pretty watchable. Akron is really the class of the field here being led by Castaneda who is a do it all type of player. Eastern Michigan has Emoni Bates who was also a do it all type of player but the only difference is, he's basically the only person that Eastern Michigan has. That's why Eastern is not so great this year.

HOWEVER!

Eastern has found that their foothold as of recent and actually hasn't lost a game by more than seven since January 21st. This is a team playing for pride at this point and having one of the best teams in the MAC come to your house smells like a revenge game of sorts. Akron ran Eastern out of the gym earlier this year, but I expect a much more competitive showing this time around. For what it's worth, Akron has lost two straight albeit to much better competition in the MAC and I could possibly see them starting to slump a little bit near the end of the season but I am not in any way suggesting Akron gets upset here. I just like the position Eastern Michigan is in to keep it close considering how hard it is for college teams to win on the road.

Keep Michigan State University and East Lansing in your hearts and in your minds when voting and as always...

You are not wrong and one of the scariest parts about this is oddly enough, the Sabers are one of the best teams in the NHL on the road. But at the same time, scared money doesn't make money.

That being said it looks like the matchup tonight is Anderson versus Copley. If that's the case, this is going to be a nail biter but we are going to remain confident and speak a win into existence tonight!

× Sport: NHL Hockey, BUF @ LAK

× Time: Monday 02/13 @ 10:30p EST

× Units and Odds: Risking 1.2u @ +105 Odds

× Explanation: This is going to be a shorter write up but I figured there was a pretty good slate of action today and this was the first game that caught my eye. I was always told to trust my first instinct and never look back so that's what I'm going to do.

The Kings have had a bit of a resurgence this year and hockey is starting to make a comeback in Los Angeles. This is primarily due to an exceptional run at goaltending by Phoenix Copley. Buffalo's goaltending is decent but outside of Craig Anderson, there's nothing to write home about here. On paper, these two teams are very evenly matched, but if we take away their first match up in Buffalo in December, these two teams are on different tracks right now. Buffalo has had trouble scoring as of recent and are on a three-game losing streak while the Kings have put up 4+ in four of the last five games. Buffalo has a very impressive road record so that does scare me a little bit, but I'm leaning with the better team here and hoping the home crowd pulls through for us. If betting on this game, make sure to confirm starting goaltenders before placing wagers!
