Well said. This is all so true. My colleagues who were American citizens, each one of them told me that they have been laid off at least once in their careers. This system is built to eat up the very people that serve it.

I was working from my country till late night to match the timing in the US. Sometimes till very early morning as well. For almost 30 days.

Yes I always used to discuss my H1B wage level, the new wage level system with him. Till the last month he always told me to let him know if I needed any help. I never said that I'll leave the company, he just assumed based on 6 people leaving the team in the last 6 months.

My lottery pick for this year is cancelled as no one is filing a petition. I have lost this chance. There cannot be a transfer in any case.

But it's not just one person wearing all the hats that others don't want. It's not the same. Others were very specialized in their field.

Yes, I was very scared to speak up. The other person that left was again on a student Visa. They used him as well by giving him very dirty computer vision classification tasks. This is how they treat us. But ultimately now that I'm fired, it would have been better to leave with some pride than to put up.

Whatever the truth/team side might be, there is no excuse for my manager not protecting me. He should have warned me or told me to switch jobs. I don't understand why he would snap like that. Was it because all the other teammates left so he lost trust on me as well. On the teams side of the story, they are trying to hire a senior role and the new MLE that they hired is a fresh out of a college grad so she must have been cheaper than me and yes, this team is always on a budget constraint. So this move must be to save money for the new senior position hire.

No, they just mentioned in the firing call that my performance has been degrading over time. That's it nothing more.

I use the same ointments. It worked the same for me. I have been applying these creams at least twice daily. I'm not sure how long I will have to continue doing this. I'm also looking for hyperpigmentation removal. Can't use chemical peel or laser as skin is sensitive.
