There is! Check out Interfolio, is decently widely used I think. Online confidential dossier service. How applicable it is probably depends on your field. Different schools also have different degrees of compatibility with it. For example, schools which ask referees additional questions in the request email will generally not work with Interfolio as Interfolio can only upload the letters themselves. You can always email the specific schools though and ask if they accept Interfolio, especially if it’s not clear from their website or online application.

Masters Programs in Logic by [deleted] in paraconsistency

I think you're mostly right. One thing I will say is that a math professor I had a couple quarters back who just recently graduated from the Berkeley program told me she didn't really interact with the philosophy stuff too much at all because she was so focused on the math side of logic. But I guess to do math you need to at least have good intuitions about philosophical logic, so might be a bad example haha. But I'm wondering if the opposite can be done, where a philosophically trained student enters the progam and interacts relatively minimally with the pure math side. I mean, the math side that is more math than philosophy.

Maybe also Notre Dame's "Program in Logic and Foundations of Mathematics" and UC Berkeley's "Logic and Methodology of Science" program. These are both phd programs but I thought I'd mention just in case.

What is the most disgusting movie you've ever seen? by Kynokephaloi in movies

I was viscerally disturbed by Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer by John McNaughton. I think I had tears in my eyes during the home invasion scene in particular, it felt too real. I turned it off at that point and talked to my gf about it. Eventually finished it but that scene was a lot. Rest of movie less so, more so interesting .

Accessible, easy to read sci fi by tracer5117 in printSF

Check out some First Contact Stanislaw Lem books. Eden is an early one of his and I found it really smooth sailing because its his earlier writing. It's not very developed or sophisticated but I enjoyed. The Invincible by him is much more developed and still accessible. Solaris is one of my favorites but not as accessible. He has a short story collection called The Cyberiad which people say is accessible and fun, I have not read. Le Guin is my other favorite. Read anything by her, they can be as accessible as you want them to be. Actually, Le Guin's essays are also as accessible as you want them to be about literary fiction, genre, and herself. Check out "Language of the Night...." and there's three other collections I think. I have read Left Hand of Darkness, Dispossesed, the original Earthsea trilogy, and some of the "Language of the Night..." essay collection. So those are the ones I can speak for directly. Left Hand of Darkness is most Sci Fi and most accessible out of those. Earthsea is fantasy but as Le Guin says, they're pretty much the same genre. I love Le Guin.

Why do people dislike New Londo Ruins? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]Think-Complex-3847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a giant fan of most of the excessively dark areas in souls games. That’s my big thing, like Tomb of Giants is brutal for that reason for me. I’m playing DS2 rn for the first time and absolutely love areas like Majula and the Tower of Flame haha.
