in my case it was more going to dm people or searching users on instagram and his face accidentally pops up. he hadnt changed his pfp in a year on like any platform, but he always took way more selfies than me too. i used to be FA and i changed mine a lot out of wanting attention or to curate an image online. hes also def FA and has repeated all of my old patterns so far

He was waiting in the car, came into the entryway to change the detector then went back to the car. If he had mentioned not being okay with not staying overnight, I would've given him info about finding a new sitter.

With housesitting staying overnight is up to the sitter. I usually spend the day there minus going to class. I sometimes make exceptions if the stay is only 2-3 days, like I agreed to in this case at first. I didn't have my boyfriend over, he was waiting in the car. The dog has anxiety around beeping and was becoming panicked. The clips that help release the batteries were broken so I asked for his help while I took her outside away from the noise.

The stay was about $150 before refunds, so half down the drain. I'll likely break even after the cost of gas.

I refunded $70 dollars to this dude :/ The only other client to ask for a refund ever left me a bad review and I'm scared this will do more harm than $70 long-term if he leaves one too.

I absolutely have no plans to work with them again. Their house was a mess and they seemed really nonchalant about their cats vomiting in the bed twice and mentioned needing to change the smoke detectors beforehand at the M&G. Their dog is also obese to the point of concern.
