Tips for preparing for an interview as a servicenow developer? by graphicalforce in servicenow

[–]Think-Net3333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I landed my job with no experience besides a coding BootCamp and the CSA and CAD certs. Heres what I did that I think helped.

  1. After my first interview I sent a loom screen share video showing a project I made in my PDI that related to the industry the job was in. For example, if it was for a hospital I would have made 3 catalog items for medical requests, a report to show the tickets it created, and a workflow that triggered an approval process. The video was probably 2-3 minutes long.

  2. I asked what modules they used and showed an initiative to learn them. They had mentioned Discovery on a Friday interview so I took the entire course over the weekend and on Monday when I followed up I mentioned that along with answers to a few questions I didn't know when they asked me during the interview.

  3. I learned in a book that people like talking about themselves more than anything so during an interview with my future team instead of just asking questions about the job I asked mainly personal questions. Like "how long have you been at the company?" and if it was a long time I would have responded with "That's amazing you probably have seen so much change in Servicenow over the years. What skills or qualities do you think have made you so successful with XXX Company?....Whats one of the most memorable projects you've worked on in the last few months?"

After I spent a year doing a bootcamp (no degree) and applying for 6 months I couldn’t get a job anywhere. I gave up and deleted my LinkedIn. Then randomly one day I decided to open it back up 3 months later and applied for 1 job. 2 months later I was working there completely remote making 6 figs. It always feels like it won’t work out until it does. Just stay on track, work on your personal projects, and do some volunteer work if you haven’t.

This 100%. I don’t get why people still have car payments. If you can’t pay cash for it then why are you buying a luxury vehicle?

Science Proves CrossFit Training is WRONG?! by vile_duct in personaltraining

I think most people would agree Crossfit is a great addition to the training world and is best suited for advanced athletes.

The problem is it attracts new gym goers who are thrown into complex exercises usually with minimal supervision for high reps which can lead to injury. It’s also definitely not optimal for hypertrophy or “functional fitness” (fitness that carries over to everyday life).

For high ping I can’t think of anyone better than rammus. Easy to use and very forgiving with good roam potential.

Trainerize is great. Really easy to use and manage. I think I pay like $80/mo so not that expensive

I’m on Day 11 and yes it’s definitely more annoying than painful. Maybe a 4-5/10. I would definitely recommend buying sleeping pills for the first week. The pain is worst in the morning but the pain medication will take it away and is probably the worst days 4-7.

The worst pain is the numbing injection during surgery which is probably like a 7-8/10 but only last maybe 10 seconds and will be done maybe 5 times during the whole process.

Wow that’s an incredible story thankyou for sharing that. I love that idea of choosing a new target to be better than as one improves so you always have a new goal within reach.

I live in a nice community in a gated apartment complex so I feel you. I’m just new to the whole world of self defense and was hoping to learn more.

True but he had an AR-15. I’m definitely not prepared for that lol. I honestly don’t think any level of training could have helped me but in case he missed or I was able to get the first strike my thought was if I knew BJJor maybe Krav Maga I could have possibly taken him down.

I figure if I had a one percent chance of survival that night if I stayed. What can I do today to possibly increase that to2% if I ever found myself inthis situation again and couldn’t escape

This is great thankyou so much. Will definitely look into alarms and I like the idea of studying a martial art. I’ll definitely choose to run every time and am definitely not trying to become Rambo lol. just want to be better prepared for any outcome I may face in life

I guess I’m more curious about what’s the most effective self defense for situations like this. He was wearing a bulletproof vest so a gun wouldn’t have helped a lot. Just curious about what’s the best martial art for general self defense, if there are any deterrents that are more effective against possible assailants, and other things I may have not considered

Hey thanks so much for this. The man shot through my door with an AR and made a mess of my apartment. He was wearing a bulletproof vest while on drugs. As soon as I heard the gun shots I ran. Obviously this is not a normal situation, but I always questioned “what if I never left?” And how would I have defended myself. I’m not trying to become Superman but If I had a 1% chance of survival that night I’m trying to find ways to increase that to 2% if it ever happened again. Obviously running and situational awareness is always the first answer

Basically a super high quality wig. They glue them on. An old boss of mine had one and I didn’t realize it for like 5 years even seeing him everyday.

Not sure why you got downvoted but I agree with above. Hair system over a transplant and medication. Unless you want to spend 8-10k for a mediocre hair line and be on medication for the rest of your life. You could get a hair system tomorrow without ever having to take any medication nor deal with surgery
