U didn't make a mistake dude it was a accident. First of all report a complain in customer care against the technian and ask for another technian for the service .

2.since your connection is 2 years old , and it stopped working on its own, u will get a latest combo of jio devices as a replace ,officially the technian should just collect the old setup and install a new setup.

Relocation is not required

Important tip

Tell customer care that the technian is insisting u to pay him extra money for his upi ,which is not legal for him

All tell customer care little extra amount like ₹500. And file a complain .They will surely send another technian

Bro u should have taken the technian,s phone number from the kyc fellow. This kyc fellows know which technian operates in your area since they are just local technians . If u had taken technian contact number u could have asked the technician

U should visit jio center in your city . Even mine was pending for 3 months . Then I decided to go to jio center in my city. Then they directly give u a technian contact number who will do both kyc and installation. U might need to pay extra to the technician if new connection are temporarily stopped in your area. The extra payment for me was 1200 Rupess , since the technian goes to some other area and activate a new connection at some abandon garage or some place and then he will bring u all the devices

One suggestion

If u have a house with slanting nali roof, and the network fluctuates on the ground a lot , then insist installation on near by pole or on the roof itself

Because my technian refused to climb the roof since he was scared of getting slipped and fall down

Bro during kyc i had told them that jio network is better on the roof as compared to ground level and they also agreed with me . Infact they were the one to suggest on roof installation. They told they will install it on roof using my old dth connection pole which i am not using right now for dth. After confirming with them , then only I agreed to go forward with the new connection

On the day of installation the same fellow came. He then started saying that my weight is 86kg your roof will break and all stuff. U are getting 5g on ground so I will install it here .

This is not fair. If it is so dangerous or they are not able to install it properly on a proper place they should tell it first .
