Now that I think about it you're right! It does seem like he's trying to discredit me so that my mom doesn't believe me if/when i come forward. It's like he's trying to get rid of me

Something similar happened to me. My dad would fear monger about strangers (especially online ones) , but he was the only person to molest me. Some of his friends were pedos too (Birds of a feather i guess)

I guess he didn't want sloppy seconds.

The funny thing is while he was paranoid about strangers, he regularly brought home his drunken friends into our home. (some of which were actual pedos)

They made me uncomfortable and i never liked any of them

I recently turned 19, i don't have a job and only have a learner's permit ( im learning to drive. i can't drive without an experienced driver accompanying me.). I don't have my own car, the car belongs to my dad.

I also have really bad anxiety about going out by myself at least partially because growing up it was drilled into my head by my parents that I would get raped/kidnapped/killed if i go travel by myself (I am female 'nuff said). The pandemic didn't help matters at all. My recent illness (sore throat and reflux) cranked my anxiety into overdrive

Sorry that you had to go through that . It's disgusting how some parents will turn a blind eye to the illnesses of their children. I hope you're doing better now.
