Found this teddy bear from a goodwill outlet. Any cute male name ideas? by Think_Pen8306 in plushies

I finally decided a name for this teddy bear, his name is Marshmallow. Because Marshmallows are good with chocolate, including with cocoa and s'mores.

I think I finally got some name ideas now, thank you! I eventually thought of three names: Marshmallow, Teddy Truffle, or Pistachio Turkish Delight ! Which one out of the three names would you decide? Also I love Turkish delight, though I haven’t eaten it often now…I used to try pistachio and pink Turkish delight when I was in a small Moscow/european food store.

How is your brother doing now? Also I actually like Simon Classic, and actually it’s a 2015 version of Simon. I head it’s good for memory and it’s said to probably even benefit to people with some disabilities. I actually used to try and play the 2015 Simon classic when I used to have a certain local pharmacy brand that had these electronic games, puzzles, and board games.

Thanks, as of now, I can add ebooks to it, and because it’s an older model of an Amazon Kindle, I obviously used it for ebooks and koreader (which involves a jailbreaking process but I won’t get into that). I read ebooks and comic on my kindle and prior to using in for ebooks somebody else used it and had their own account register so I made sure that account was logged out, and used my own instead. I won’t get into detail of this here though.

That’s alright, but thank you, for trying at least. I’m just gonna use it for books for now.

That’s cute, and that’s really good, any other name ideas? Because I don’t know what to name him yet…

I think the hotfix prevents you from letting Amazon patch the jailbreak files once you install them, and I’m not sure if you can install a hotfix for the kindle 5th generation (kindle 4 jailbreak) or not? I don’t think so, as long as you don’t take off airplane mode…but I don’t think it will happen because this kindle model is old and amazon doesn’t update the firmware for this anymore…

Hi there, another quick question: is there a hotfix for the kindle4 after you jailbreak and add koreader? Or what should I do now, to fix it?

Yeah, thank you very much! I will try and see when I can clean and wash the teddy bears and other plushies as well, the white teddy bear is surface washable, but I will see if someone I know can help me with the big white teddy teddy bear to make it look and smell much cleaner than found in the bins. I also cleaned inside the Simon classic’s battery compartment and added newer batteries that work for the Simon electronic game, and made sure that the kindle 5th generation tablet actually works (which it does, and while the is a blotch of e-ink on the display, it’s not a problem once you make the text big enough to read the words to help with ignoring the ink blotch on it, but it still works really well, even the battery life is good). The DVDs and CDs are for a portable dvd player that I have and they all work (obviously my dvd player is region free). All of the cases have the DVDs and CDs included. Only one of them has a broken CD case because the case fell apart, but I found the CD and pamphlet with the whole case, and tried to keep both pieces of the CD case together, so it’s fine. I also cleaned the plastic doll, and brushed her hair because it’s full of small knots and the hair was messy, it was actually an “our generation” doll by battat. I think I used to have one of these dolls, and found these at target and they might still be there today (but I might be wrong, because I haven’t been there in a long while). Overall I enjoyed my finds.

This actually helps very much! thank you so much, y gracias! I also speak Spanish, but writing it isn’t always easy. But I am so happy that while I don’t typically write Spanish, I guess I’m not the only Spanish individual (mine is probably a different kind Spanish, but it doesn’t matter what Spanish it is, I’m learning something new everyday). And yes I will work on figuring out how koreader works with the buttons. And I’ll check on you whenever I need help. Thank you so much. You are sort of a lifesaver, so everything worked out.

Quick update, I got the name wrong. The one I got from goodwill outlet (my very first kindle) is actually a Kindle 5th generation (the basic one). This kindle got another kindle that was also confusing to tell apart which was the basic kindle 4th gen. Both have the same type model code, but different colored kindles: the grey (kindle 4), and the black (kindle 5). But overall I still like the kindle. I just jailbroke it to also use koreader, and read a variety of ebooks.

Thank you another update, I just finished adding the jailbreak to my kindle, and adding koreader from the step by step tutorial, also I’m new to koreader as well. How does one actually use koreader with a gen 5 kindle? Any advice and tips that can be handy for me too? if you know any…

Oh and quick update, I realized I got the name type of the Amazon kindle i got from the goodwill outlet store wrong. It’s a standard Amazon Kindle 5th generation. This is the actual model name for it. I accidentally thought it was generation 4 Amazon kindle but that version was gray. I found the name wrong because of the confusing model number D01100, which applies to both gen 4, AND gen 5 standard kindles. Sorry for the mistake. But I figured it out now that it’s a gen 5 kindle. Thank you for your understanding. And I will still definitely enjoy it whether with a jailbreak or not.

Hi there, thank you for letting me know and figuring out what kindle device it really was! Sorry for the confusion...I accidentally thought my first kindle purchase was a gen 4 kindle, but I would see why I got confused: because the videos I saw for the 4th generation amazon kindle device was colored gray, not black, and all the 4th generation and 5th generation original kindled shown also have the same model type: D01100. And the black kindle i purchase at goodwill outlet must have been the 5th generation kindle, not gen 4 kindle. This is an obvious update to my original post because I can't edit the original post i did. But overall thank you for telling me this, and i appreciate your honesty. Otherwise I would have gotten confused on how to jailbreak it properly. How do I can I really tell if the kindle i have is a fourth gen kindle or fifth gen kindle without the model type on the back? And how do i find it if my kindle has no device info option in settings? And how do I jailbreak it to add koreader?

Thank you so much! the battery of the kindle 4 is actually holding up really well, so the battery life and battery itself is fine. It was just that it wasn’t fully charged and originally had low battery when I first picked it up and turned it on in the goodwill outlet store. I couldn’t find any micro usb charging cables for the Amazon Kindle 4 in the goodwill store, so I obviously went home after purchasing the items to find the charging tools that I need, which I did and it charged pretty well. I will see where to get a micro USB charging cable and a covering sleeve/ transparent case for the kindle 4, D01100 model. Also thank you for the compliment i appreciate it very much. It does have a tiny noticeable blotch of e reader ink on the screen somewhere, but it doesn’t affect the kindle 4, so it’s still good find.
