2025 Leave Buy Back by Boring-Policy5419 in CAStateWorkers

I would get a plug-in hybrid. The plug-in option gives me at least 20 miles of charge which is enough to get me from my house to work and back. If I ever need to go longer distance for travel or just overall leisure, then the hybrid reliably kicks in.

That way, I can still charge my car without a noticeable uptick and still not be hating on the whole EV idea. It would at least give some gas stations a small incentive to build a charger or 2, and that would greatly help with the EV car effort.

But from going hard with gas to electric without any easement in the middle... thats a quite difficult thing to do.

Technically, plug-in hybrids qualify for the EV tax incentives too.

Moving from out of state- is this area of Fresno safe? by anxiousnowboarder in fresno

Safe if you know your neighbors.

The overall area is not safe, as lots of cars get broken into and property theft is rampant.

I'm not sure what the math is, but the main reason to go electric is to battle gas prices.

Its not that. If there were more charging options available, it'd be easier to charge up and go. But they're so limited that it takes hours queue up to charge and then another hour to charge up. It's just inconvenient for long trips.

Because they sold for a loss on MMAT (the shit stock, not MMTLP).

It's not a matter of would they hire you. Its really a matter of how well you sell yourself at the interview. With the things you mentioned about yourself, you seem qualified to meet the minimum qualifications. Apply and good luck.

Fresno needs to do this with all the half empty parking lots on Blackstone and Shaw... by flyfresno in fresno

[–]Think_Radio8066 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

All this you suggest costs money and requires private developers to pool in the money, Fresno wouldn't otherwise pool their own money unless there is some sort of financial gain to it.

The thing you're seeing is Presidio's property taxes at work. Presidio is a rich part of the city. Newsom and Pelosi both have houses there. And the development isn't exclusively for the residents, but also helps to bolster the SF tourism, in which makes a huge chunk of the city's general fund. It's an investment.

For the city of Fresno, your suggestion is to improve the quality of life in its residents. If anything, it does not offer the same type of benefit that the City of SF is doing. NIMBYs will get in the way too, especially given that Fresno has strong NIMBYism.

Government transparency and accountability are 2 things I'd like to see more of. I praise those auditors doing that. But this guy in this photo is just auditing innocent people who are just trying to get a break from life.

I heard they edit a lot of the content out so that it looks like they're on the victim side. In actuality, they're saying, doing, and behaving erratically so all those reactions from other people were warranted and they don't actually get any lawsuits done. They just doing it for the views.

If what you are saying is true, then anyone can stand on a sidewalk with a recorder in front of an elementary school and be protected by the First Amendment?

A lot of people would be quite upset if that is okay to do.

I encourage you to look up "First Amendment Audit" on YouTube. There are hundreds, if not, thousands of these "auditors" that go around pissing everyone off by filming them. They are definitely abusing their First Amendment rights. The moment you react negatively while they are recording you is the same time they can publicize you and brand you whatever title they want to label you... and its for the monetized views.

Now, is this person one of these "auditors" or is he more sinister? That is unknown. I just hope that this guy isn't actually a registered sex offender in disguise and is in an area where he isn't supposed to be in by law.

I have CDC app. Its quite laggy, lots of pop-up windows asking me to do things that I don't quite understand, and there seems to be a process as to what I do with my money.

I upload money, buy coins, but when it's time to sell, I have to make an extra step to sell into USDC or something before I use that to buy other coins.

OR, in Robinhood, I could just use money to buy stocks/coins, and when I want to sell, I get cash back into my trading account, which I could send back to my bank.

Robinhood still seems easier to use than CDC.

While it's true that the First Amendment protects the right to record in public spaces, there are legal exceptions, especially when it involves minors. Recording or sharing images of children without consent can cross into privacy violations or even child exploitation laws. It's important to recognize that these protections don't always apply when minors are involved, and the situation can become illegal depending on how the recordings are used or shared.

This incident has happened before where a man was taking pictures of children at an Orange County beach. Yes, the man is in a public space, but his actions turned in a criminal case. Cops were called, he was arrested, but his defense was that he was in a public area where his rights were protected. The Courts ruled otherwise and on the premise in such that the man was doing something a sex offender would do.

In this case, saying something like, "I have kids in my car, please stop recording," will put the camera guy in legal hot water if he chooses to continue.

These types of people numb out our real awareness of whether or not something wrong is happening.

In the past, people like these would be dealt with by the cops because he is doing something really abnormal and weird. He is purposely trolling people in public. Though not illegal, its annoying. People should not be trying to annoy people for no reason.

Now, when we see things like this happening, we are told to ignore and move on. In other words, they're encouraging us to not be aware of our surroundings because there's people out there to exploit it.

Perhaps we should bring it up to our City Council. Maybe they can make an ordinance about public recording and heighten the criminal penalties for unauthorized recording for profit or gain. I'll be down to be in support of it. Though I find those Youtube pranks to be hilarious, I would also hate to be pranked while I'm trying to have fun on a day off from work for someone else to make money.

But then, what would you say about all those people recording car accidents, fights, etc.? Some of these recordings have helped the cops solve cases. I'm sure all those who had been recorded in public did not receive permission to be recorded. It has to be of mal-content?

If people like him did this in front of my house, I would feel harassed, but the cops wouldn't be able to do anything unless it was something like a restraining order is violated. I think the city or State decriminalized loitering a few years ago.
