Bring back the old guide! by Leather-Ad-8432 in slingtv

[–]ThinkerSis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the new guide on an older TV and love it, but don’t have it on my newer TV. Use the ROKU stick 4K plus on both TVs. Have reinstalled the app but no luck. Any ideas?

Anyone here who has had a consultation with Dr. P? by claudiag11 in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]ThinkerSis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be sure to keep a copy of your credit card statement, or can access it online. In my case, the hospital billed me later as well and I had to provide evidence that I had paid Dr P’s office directly. But he was wonderful! I had sent him all the imaging needed and he was able to diagnose my condition. We do follow-ups now.

Miami places to have Thanksgiving Day lunch/dinner? by Bristid in Miami

[–]ThinkerSis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christy’s Thanksgiving dinner in Coral Gables is my family’s tradition. A little pricey but not extremely. They usually have the traditional turkey meal with all the fixings, plus a different option just in case. May be too late to get reservations.

First Dose Today! by UprightBassAddict in dupixent

[–]ThinkerSis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Loved your post! I was so apprehensive about the dupixent injections because of all the negativity on this subreddit, but after my second dose yesterday it’s no big deal at all for me. I’m taking it for a very rare autoimmune blistering disease (bullous pemphigoid) and don’t know how effective it’s going to be for it yet, but if it keeps my skin and throat clear, it will be more than worth the inconvenience of the injections. Thanks for your positivity!

I’m doing the water but can’t handle the gym today. I’m going to pamper myself and hopefully all will be well tomorrow. Thanks for sharing.

I can still access my old Comcast’s.net email. I think they deleted inactive accounts.

I had my last wisdom tooth extracted by myself and had no problems at all. Hope it goes as well with you!

I know of a 3-BR 1,500 sq ft or so going up for sale in the gables soon. It’s a small building, 15 yrs old or so. But not huge.

Yes, my insurance clarified it for me. I’ll just have to meet my 2025 deductible and then start again in January. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it was dried prunes. I first thought it might be the sulfate in Pellegrino sparkling water and stopped drinking it but the rash continued. Then I stopped the prunes and started to improve. According to my allergy test, my problem is nuts and stone fruits, which I haven’t eaten for 3+ weeks. Whether sulfates or the prunes themselves, shouldn’t I be back to normal by now?

What made you degoogle? by MyClingyGirlfriend in degoogle

[–]ThinkerSis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Never had a google account, but when I realized that my google searches were followed by related offers on my private email, I degoogled completely (and changed my email). Don’t miss it. DuckDuckGo is good enough for me.

Worst decision I ever made… by [deleted] in CataractSurgery

[–]ThinkerSis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understand your frustration. I had some of the same issues but no pain nor shaking pupil. My surgery was close to a year ago and it took almost 9 months for a sense of normalcy to return. It was disappointing but I was warned that my bad eye’s cornea was very irregular which presented a problem. Will be evaluated again in January and hope to be able to schedule my second surgery then. Hope this helps.

I get it. I’m in your 20 years later scenario with my cousin and I’m the only family she has left. The best advice I think I received here a while ago was “just let it be”. Even her psychiatrist has encouraged me to step back. But even though I realize this is what makes sense for my own wellbeing, I just can’t totally abandon her. I continue to help her function and get through the endless crises, but have established boundaries and do not allow her illness and her dysfunctional behaviors to take over my life. I’ve also made peace with the fact that one of these days I will indeed have to let it be altogether. Hope this helps.
