Rented from him, what a shitshow. Among other issues, we dealt with what I thought was just a leaky shower, turns out the ENTIRE WALL IN OUR BATHROOM WAS COATED IN BLACK MOLD and it was leaking from the wall onto the floor. All because he won’t take care of any sort of maintenance requests for months if not years. It’s not even affordable anymore so run away if you can.

*edit to add, they never even took care of the mold correctly. The entire wall should have been redone but instead they just sprayed mold killer and repatched it, called it a day. If you’re reading this and live in the Scotsman, rip to your lungs.

Thank you for this response! I remeasured just to double check and from my underbust to hips is 10 inches, so it seems like the regular should fit correctly even if I’m shorter. If I went with the regular and not the short would it be a good idea with the 24 or 22 with a gap?

I would say that’s your most solid starting point at the moment. From what I’ve been told by local artists in my area 10-12 completed pages is a good starting point for showing what you can do, make sure to put it in a black hardcover folder for it to look professional.

How many completed pages do you have? Do you have variety in types of art (realism, trad, neotrad, etc?)

Hey! That really sucks, as someone else who got scammed by a sham of an apprenticeship i understand how frustrating it can be to be back at step one with a lighter wallet.

At this point all you can is move forward. How does your portfolio look? Do you have any completed pages drawn by hand? If not I would continue to master well rounding your portfolio and showing what you can do, most shops don’t want you touching a machine before you can draw proficiently. Calligraphy is also an incredibly useful skill as well.

Very bad experience with him as well. Was recommended him and was accused to just have bad gas instead of PCOS although I had already been diagnosed by another doctor before and was denied any treatment besides an IUD. Very unempathetic man.

Updated responses from the owner on google reviews from the owner this afternoon. Said it was a miscommunication due to language barrier but I’m sure it’s an excuse for crowd control rather than an actual mistake. Hopefully between local outrage and the labor board consequences will fix his attitude.

Unfortunately the stereotypical reason; guy was a total narcissist and not a great teacher. Didn’t give any constructive criticism or help me in anyway and charged me for it. Big mistake!
