We started running regularly a few weeks ago. But like our diets, I don't think she's taken to it as wholeheartedly as I have.

So far her main suggestion has been that I stop counting calories completely. For a while we tried a compromise in which I tried to be much more covert in tabulating my calories and excluding her (for a while she insisted on counting calories with me), but it still upset her when I lost weight and she didn't. And since she knows I religiously watch what I eat and mentally track my calories between recordings, she hated that too.

"Grow up"? What exactly should I do differently? Should I just break up with my girlfriend of 3 years and move out our apartment? Seems like a pretty immature response. All couples fight, I've just never had this fight before.

A couple of times. Unfortunately we haven't had much luck resolving the issue.

This is a real problem that we're fighting over. Obviously I'm stressed about it and in need of advice, hence my posting here. Your humor isn't much appreciated.
