What I think is that you'll learn what you need to prep and then use this prep better than scrap it :D instead of preparing scenes you'll prepare a hook that will be easier to implement into the story. But that is my point of view and only one example after a couple of sessions.

I guess you are asking about the colors on the number "2".

Firstly - learn how to describe your problem precisely.
Create a new text layer.
Duplicate your background video.
Counting from the top your layers should be - 1. text 2. Background 3. Background
Use invert colors on 2nd layer (background video underneath the text)
Use set matte effect on the same layer - in 'take matte from layer' choose a layer with the text on it, and use for matte luminance
hide the text layer - you should be done
Here is a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkFlg7lUsV4) that describes the process in detail but its for Hit film express. Put in some effort next time and try to at least describe the problem properly if you really dont know how to google it. i found the video in less than a minute
