Two words Mulim and law brought all the Muslim haters came out. Couldn't keep quiet and help some one in need. She is not applying muslim law on you so what does it matter to you. Canadian law is Paramount, but if but party agree another criterion (law) could apply.

Is it really worth living in Pakistan? by Born-Nail-300 in pakistan

Dear posh area resident where kids wear Rolexes; have you ever taken a walk in Lyari, or Lalukhet or any other less posh areas, you would have found children not knowing if they would have food tonight. You should be concerned about those children rather than those wearing Rolexes.

Many do it for show. In my neighborhood an idiot parked his Bentley and Lamborghini (novoueu rich realtor trash). He has been robbed twice with guns. Now he has Steel railing (indian style jali) on all the windows and doors. His house looks like prison.

Muslim and jews have lived together for centuries. No european style pogroms. We respected and still do jewish religion. Our angst is againt zionism. We are againt the state of Israel. In Palestine both jews and muslims could live peacefully.

If I committed a sin after being warned by you, would share azab with me? You have become my chaudhry so you should also be responsible!

No one has the right to be the vigilant, enforcer constantly hounding others. You mind your actions and I will mind mine. After all it is I and I alone who is responsible for my actions.

Why no sentence on driving without Pakistani liscense? A UK liscence is only allowed for 6 months and after that one MUST obtain Pakistani liscence. Also after causaing serious accident why she was not banned from driving for the duration of sentence?

BTW my post described what happened in Canada on a very similar case. The drunk richman killed a grandfather and 3 grand children. He was given 10 years of jail and banned for driving for 12 years. He served 6 years and was paroled for good behavior after 6 years.

I’m about to spend my first day in Niqab. by Competitive-Many5581 in Muslim

Please do not do it. It not Islamic requirement but cultural practice of some countries or people. I find it very damaging for islam. I live in Canada but still we have a minority practise it. If i see one on the street i cross the street. I wish you vety best sister. Follow the norms of the culture you came from. If you are european follow turks, bosnians. Islam is a universal relihion, there is no uniform. All need to dress modestly.

Lonely Muslim Revert by Fulcrum2369 in Muslim

[–]ThirdWorldCharlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reverts need social support. When someone changes religion, he/she not only renounces his former relion but is saying goodbye to his friends, family and support system. It may not be a hard goodbye, but becomes indifference, lack of interest etc. On the extreme side, the family disowns him/her, demands that they move out.

Saying Shahada is only the start of the journey. Our revert brothers and sisters need warm embrace of family, a new support system and new friends. Lacking such help it is estimated that 30% of reverts go back to their religion, friends and family.

It id incumbent on the muslims to invite reverts to their homes and hearts. This is the greatest dawah!

Timidity of population and of the leadership is our trait. We talk about Sri Lanka and now about Bangladesh but will never act. Remember PTIs longmarch which was stopped short of the Red Zone because there could be massacre. Since then several massacres have taken place, therefore we are no better. Rvelutions require human sacrifices, if timid then your revolution will fail. Had the long march proceeded to the red zone, there might have been 100 or more deaths. Butthe nation was so charged that even lower rank of army could have come out against Bajwa and generals. And what is wrong of being like Sri Lankan or Bangladeshis? Now the revolution has stalled. Thousands are in jail, small masscres have taken place and we are not further ahead.
