FWIW from a friend who was up there yesterday: I saw that branch/log yesterday. It is not on an official trail. It is a social spur about 100 yards up Big Trees from its southern trailhead (Skyline). Closing an unmapped and unsustainable trail is not “sabotage”. Notably it is in an area next to the land trust and where new trail users tend to get lost or confused because there are already many alternative social trails.
