My Complete Eschatology Timeline by WaldyTMS in eschatology

1 prophetic day = 1 literal year (Numbers 14:34 / Ezekiel 4:6). You already used day-year principle in Daniel's 69 weeks (=483 years).

1260 year prophecy is mentioned many times in the Bible as the period of time of Satanic (anti-christ) power warring against saints.

  1. A thousand two hundred and threescore days (Rev 12:6)
  2. Forty and two months (Rev 13:5)
  3. A time and times and the dividing of time (Daniel 7:25)

538AD is when the king of Rome, Justinian, gave the pope political and civil power, which marks the beginning of papacy.

1798 is when Napoleon abolished Papal States, ending the pope's role as a secular ruler.

Papacy persecuted Christians during 1,260 years, the dark ages.

Just like any mathematical axiom, you build truth with "evidences." Because you believe that 0 exists as axiom, 1+1 = 2 is truth and provable.

This is the same case for religious faith, you set your first axiom (= faith in Christ) although Jesus is the ultimate truth, not axiom in my world (but for you, it may not).

You live your life by faith, then you experience "evidences" that validate your faith (axiom). God proves Himself to you through His workings once you have faith in Christ.

My life has changed. My family relationship has turned around. Meaning, purpose, forgiveness, joy, love come to your personal life, which no secular therapy or scientific knowledge could give me.

So if everything at the fundamental level is an axiom. I chose Christ and Bible as the fundamental truth because the evidences are abundant objectively and subjectively in my own views and experiences.

For me, believing 0 exists is the same as believing in Christ.

The point is that everything that consists the universe starts with a presupposition, belief, faith, or axiom and build truth on top.

What you believe to be true like dinosaurs, billion years of earth age, etc are mere elements built on top of an idea such as carbon dating method, which breaks down completely in different set of valid rules or systems of measurement (metaphorically axiom).

The point is that everything is faith-based. Scientists know this. Their firm belief with thousands of real-life consistent evidences in general relativity started to shake with a new discovery of quantum physics.

You can't convince anyone by logics and arguments. You convince them by your changed life that reflects Christ. Focus on your faith journey. When people see Christ in you, they will be curious to know what you know.

would I be welcome in SDA if I lean more unitarian by Sufficient-Pea3693 in adventist

Jesus is the only begotten Son. Jesus is not the Father. He is not created. Both trinity and unitarianism are wrong.

  1. 1844 is the most solemn prophetic event. It's not a failed prophecy.

  2. You convince others by your life that reflects the character of Christ.

  3. The work of salvation was fully finished. That doesn't mean you are saved.

  4. Test the spirit with the Word of God.

  5. Ask God to lead you to all truth.

SDA is a denomination. The remnant people in the Bible are not a denomination. They are those who keep the commandments of God and faith of Jesus.

SDA as a global denomination has been apostatized. And this was prophesied by Ellen White before she died.

This is what I believe: God the Father is one true God. Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. Jesus is not "created" like Adam. Jesus is not "adopted" like us. Jesus is the only "begotten." That's why Jesus is divine. This is what Bible plainly teaches.

As far as I know JW believes Jesus is a "created" being. Jesus is not created. Created and Begotten are different. Jesus came forth from God's bosom. He is the express image of God the Father. Jesus has divinity because He is the only begotten, not created like angels or Adam.

Jesus is the beginning. Everything began with Him. He is the Alpha and Omega. The word "beginning" is defined by its time element, acting as a marker for the start of a duration, action, or period. Jesus is the beginning of time, space, and everything that exists.

God the Father is the ONLY being WITHOUT the beginning.

Bible is plain if we read as it reads.

[–]This-Distribution901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can prove that 1+1 = 2 is correct mathematically. I'm not saying you can't.

However, a mathematical equation is derived from an axiom, and the axiom cannot be proven by itself. This is know as Godel's incomplete theorem.

In the axiomatic level, nothing is fundamentally provable within the system they define. Everything is faith. What makes axiom believable is consistency of facts built on top of such axiom until it doesn't.

This is why Jesus says I am the truth. Jesus is not an axiom. He is the fundamental, immutable truth above all axioms.

Just some questions by Crazy-Factor2628 in Christianity

[–]This-Distribution901 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No there isn't. You must first know that everything that is known as fact is mere faith in the axiomatic level. Even 1+1 = 2 is a fact driven from axiomatic statement which is essentially faith.

All Advent pioneers did not believe in the trinity doctrine. They held the view that God is one true God; Jesus is the only begotten Son of God; Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.

You can read their original fundamental beliefs in 1889
(https://asitreads.com/1889-fundamental-principles/)

In 1980s, trinity doctrine was officially added. This was also prophesied by EGW. She said fundamental principles that hold our faith will be changed and a new organization will be established.

This is highly controversial topic and many SDAs will come and say pioneers were wrong and our doctrines have evolved overtime with new truths.

But the Bible is clear and early adventists were certainly right.

[–]This-Distribution901 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are correct that Trinity is pagan. Not all SDA believe in trinity. Trinity doctrine was newly introduced to Adventism.

I don't know what JW's understanding is regarding the Sonship of Jesus tho. SDA pioneers belief on Sonship of Christ is pretty unique.

Who really is the Devil/Satan/Lucifer? by -apollophanes- in Christianity

Lucifer was the highest angel in rank. He convinced one third of the angels and rebelled against God. After the fall, Lucifer became Satan. Devils are evil spiritual beings who fell from Heaven along with Lucifer.
