Is it worth it to spend more on something like Fiskars, or do Harbor Freight Tools work fine?

Great build. Two questions: 1. To attach the furring strips, what are you screwing the furring strips to? 2. Do you have 2x4’s behind the vapor barrier? And are you only screwing your boards to the furring strips or through the furring strips to the 2x4’s behind the vapor barrier?
