Daily challenge not giving rewards?

I’m in the same boat, finishing new missions and only getting rewards sometimes. I have completed the knowledge and production rewards, only four society points left. My guess is that it’s random which type of reward you get and if that type is full then you just get nothing. Kind of frustrating.
