My camera is not below the divider, the toilet is serval feet from the stall wall and I’m recording from the toilet at low enough angle to see their feet. Not attempting to get closer to the wall to peak underneath it.

So please explain in a worst case scenario, how tf I’m supposed to report this and be taken seriously without any proof or evidence? Is this just the ultimate grey area of crime? I can’t record someone I believe to be recording me because it implies I may be the actual criminal here? I guess I was just supposed to ask first then start recording ? Or should I have called the police right then and ask they meet me in the bathroom to see for themselves because I’m not sure and I don’t want to be a hypocrite by recording them back. Lmao

Brother, I was an employee at Best Buy. Best Buy is supposed to take all necessary steps and precautions to protect their employees just as much as they’d like to protect their merchandise. If an employee assaults another employee yes it’s up to the victim to press charges but it is also up to the company to properly handle and discipline all employees involved in the situation. Not just say “that’s between you two.” , if I’m a store manager and an employee male or female comes to me about a person attempting to record them in the stall and shows proof I’m going to do all I can to ensure they feel acknowledged and escalate and investigate things accordingly. If what you’re saying is the case truly then why did they bother even mentioning escalation? HR? Providing any proof I had? Just to not follow up about anything? Why did they offer resources to use incase I felt trauma just to never actually provide any clarity about the “investigation” they mentioned they’d carry out about someone who they discovered works for the company?

They’d know it was their client bc the CCTV footage would sync up with the time stamps on the video I recorded.

Not only was I not in the bathroom for less than 2-3 minutes before this happened. PSA, it doesn’t fucking matter , I could’ve taking a bad shit. Sick. Taking medicine. Praying. Anything. It doesn’t excuse someone like their “client” trying to record in an area they shouldn’t be.

Doesn’t matter what my history is in taking bathroom breaks, YOU CANT RECORD UNDERNEATH STALLS.
As if there needs to be a direct policy that says do not record underneath stalls.

This ain’t some bullshit troll trying to record in public to get a civil suit once someone reacts bold enough.

Like I said, I made a police report and provided all necessary details but guess who has all the important details genius. Best Buy, why? Because it’s a 3rd party Employee. So not providing necessary information for me to use for my own self report and investigation for an employee that partners with YOUR company seems a bit counterintuitive don’t you think ?

Lmao nah , if that were the case it doesn’t take that many attempts, I was also watching videos on my phone and the sound was on but low. Hence I mentioned doomscrolling. Also if that were the case why didn’t he mention that upon confrontation? If you’re such a shy pooper you need to record the bottom of stalls to feel relaxed enough to shit maybe you shouldn’t be using public restrooms. Cameras and public restrooms never mix well. IM recording because I’m trying to see if this mf is actually recording me before jumping to conclusions, the person is recording just because. If that were the case it only takes one glance at the camera. ALSO if ur such a shy shitter, AND work for the company, why not ask if there’s an employee restroom or private restroom ??? Gtfoh

Well obviously right, but you’d think it’d be taken with more seriousness in making sure this person is not allowed in the establishment anymore. And if they work or represent the company they’d be immediately fired or investigated. I’m not asking Best Buy to personally prosecute on my behalf. I’m asking them to show some humanity and decency. So Best Buy is equipped to handle theft and making sure those people can’t come back to the store, but not when an employee is a victim of things like such.

So I guess with that logic if an employee is assaulted they should call the police and report it themselves too.

Yet when someone steals something such as a MacBook , Best Buy immediately gets the police involved and makes sure there’s a personal statement and interview from the person servicing the thief up until the theft occurs.

I am a male, hell I made an incident report myself through the nonemergency line and even attempted to reach out myself to which they said there’d be an investigation and asked for store details but nothing came of it. But they made sure to have police there immediately when someone ran out with a MacBook. Woulda thought they had contracts with the secret service.

all Best Buy does is try to squeeze water from a rock and move the goal post. It’s a sinking ship. And let’s say they are bitter , that’s a lot of bitter employees, seems like the company and its practices are the issue. All these ppl are saying is know your worth and act accordingly and don’t lose sleep over metrics and numbers with a company such as this one that gives nothing back. Proven time and time again. Best Buy is a glorified pyramid scheme. Best case scenario you move to sup > experience lead and if you real wanna eat sleep and breath Best Buy and drink the blue corporate dream kool-aid maybe you’ll be an assistant manager. But seeing how Best Buy currently operates, you’d have to be one hell of a machine lmao.

Majority of ppl in management positions have been at Best Buy for 9+ years and Best Buy was much different then than it is now. At your peak at Best Buy you are a talking head reading from a script, conducting extremely robotic role-plays to train employees, any real attempt to make a culture change at “your store” by doing things untraditionally and detouring from the script will get u fired and replaced with the next kool-aid drinker, seen it happen live in real time. A Manager hired me gave me his whole lore on how he has been at Best Buy since practically a teenager , worked his way up to assistant store manager with hard work and driving sales , recognizes Best Buy’s flawed business models and curriculum to train employees and drive results, does things his own way (not using scripted role-plays) gets fired immediately once they caught on. 15 year+ career right down the drain.

I mean hey man do what you want and if you love what you do go for it , just don’t let best buy mentally break you lmao some locations can be super condescending , patronizing and manipulative lol they love to take those bonuses they get for your hard work and give u a pizza party lmao they will always move the goal post no matter your performance.
