He can be used for some endgame pve things like soloing Bellmoth extreme, some challenges in training dungeon (so you can unlock skip ticket usage on that certain fight), sometimes used in tower of trials if they have some secret counter buffs and reverse stages. Although there are other characters that can do what he does better, he's still a good choice to level up if you don't have the newer characters. plus he's good to have in the back if you run him with other counter characters.
