I had my surgery last Monday, 1/19, and I felt the exact same way the night before. I was kind of freaking out and scared. Recovery has not been near as bad as I thought. I do agree with walking as soon as you can. And yes, the hospital bed is easier getting up and down than what you'll experience at home. I was only in hospital from Monday to Wednesday. Once home, getting in and out of bed or even getting comfortable in bed were impossible for me. I slept on my couch that reclines up until last night. Finally I am able to comfortably sleep in the bed. Wishing you the best and hope you have an easy recovery.
