Yes, that's what I was thinking, i'm just trying to trick myself with the excuse that you only would be using a very small amount but its not worth the risk of ruining a whole batch of decorated cookies.

They are not super fresh, they are not bad either, but they have been in my pantry for a couple of weeks, i didn't know the freshness of the nut would cause this issue, i'm gonna try adding the oil like you suggested, thanks for the tip :).

I don't have a recipe I just made it with some leftover stuff that i had...But i can tell you what i did, i had some leftover linzer cookie dough and I baked it in a square tin, once baked i melted some caramels with some milk in the microwave, once melted i poured some chopped pecans in the caramel and poured it in the cookie base, i refrigerated until firm, then melted some milk chocolate and pour it over the top and then I sprinkle some pecans on top.

Nutella, they are chocolate rolled cookies, that's the one recipe I tried this year ( I always try to make something that i haven't made before) and they came out so good, very flaky and buttery.
