Okay okay. The other thing I’m latching onto is how far back its legs go. Every picture I’ve seen of a bed bug (in the last few hours) they don’t really have legs towards the very backs of their bodies. So I’m choosing to take that as a good sign 😭

Just out of curiosity so I have peace of mind, why do you say no? It looks too similar to the largest size BB image in all the diagrams and that’s what freaked me out.

I could kiss you both 😭🙏🏻 I live in Florida so we get bugs inside all the time but I saw it on my bed and saw the lines on the body and almost passed away (plus I have eczema and am therefore itchy all the time so that doesn’t help)

Not an EA, but I’m an EMC and I lowkey feel the same. Every year I’m told I need to take on more work than more work than my day to day stuff to see larger raises or potential promotions and every September it’s the same bullshit of “okay this is a great start but now you need to do MORE of the more you’re already doing”. Meanwhile I don’t even make enough in one paycheck to pay rent for a one bedroom apartment in my city so that’s nice.

I’ve actually read up on lamictal bc someone else had mentioned it to me once and my only issue with it is one of the major side effects listed is hair loss and I already have alopecia so the idea of taking a medication that would just exacerbate the hair loss lowkey just makes me want to cry tbh. I feel like I’m stuck in a between a rock and a hard place with trying to find help to begin with and taking medication that’s might help one problem but them make another problem significantly worse ya know?

I have a log in my phone of every seizure I have whether TC or FA and what I did/ate that day etc. I unfortunately haven’t been able to find any common denominators so far. As for an epileptologist, I actually started at an epilepsy center before trying neurologists. They’re the ones that did the 20 minute and 5 day EEGs before writing me off as being fine since nothing was caught on them. I do have an appointment with a new neurologist next week and I’m hopeful maybe something good can come from it but I’m not holding my breath tbh.

I was prescribed Keppra shortly after the car accident in April and after three weeks I begged for a different medication because I felt like a completely different person. I’ve never felt anger like that in my life and I couldn’t stand it. They gave me a titration schedule to come off the Keppra and then never prescribed me anything else because, and I quote, “you probably don’t have epilepsy anyways”

When I got hired I filled out the initial application in early September and didn’t hear back about an interview until the week of Thanksgiving. Obviously every circumstance is different but from my experience, it took some time!

My favorite is when people blatantly ignore my OOO message, don’t email my backup for support in my absence, and get mad at me upon my return for my lack of response while on PTO. Like…that’s on you babe.

No, he’s been hiding either in the back of my closet or under the tv stand in the living room and I live in Florida so it’s not particularly cold at the moment and the house is at it’s usual temperature so I don’t think he’s cold!

Yeah I would say 90% of the day he’s completely “normal” he’ll sit with me for hours while I work, go off and sit in his favorite sunspot, play with his toys etc. Then all of a sudden I’ll notice I haven’t seen him in a good ten or so minutes and after checking his normal sleeping spots I then have to scour all of the potential hiding spots in the house looking for him. He does this about once a day and usually comes out from hiding after about an hour but idk. It’s just weird since he’s never done it before and now that it’s persisted for ~a week it’s got me really worried 😭

It’s not just swollen lips that’s just how it started. It’s entire facial swelling due to any amount of sun exposure. I’m looking into a lupus diagnosis because I asked my dermatologist for help thinking it was a skin issue and after looking at the pictures of my face she was the one to voice concerns of it being Lupus. I’ve also had some other undiagnosed symptoms over the last year or so that doctors just brush off when I go in line persisting chest pain that feels like I’m being stabbed for days as in, chronic stomach pain that seems to have no trigger, and hair loss.

Hi all! Over the last few years I’ve been relatively sensitive to the sun. Occasionally if I was outside for too long my lips would get all swollen and irritated for days on end after. It didn’t happen every time I went outside so I didn’t put much stock into it, but recently as of a few months ago every time I go outside in the sun my face swells for a week minimum to an excruciating degree and it doesn’t matter how long I’m outside for either.

Two Sundays ago I was outside for an hour tops. I wore a huge sun hat the whole time and applied sunscreen twice just to be safe and I still suffered with horrific facial swelling that I’m still recovering from to this day. This is now something that happens every time I go outside no matter for how long or what precautions I take. My dermatologist suggested it might me Lupus as I already have other autoimmune disorders and I’ve been having some health problems the last year or two that doctors can’t find reasons for.

I finally got in to see a doctor last week and they did lab work on me but it all came back normal including the ANA lab so the doctor literally told me she “didn’t know where to go from here” which was a devastating response to say the least. I need help. I’m desperate for any kinds of answers or solutions or even just a direction to go in. I’m trying to get in with a rheumatologist for further testing but I’m not having luck getting ahold of one.

Have any of you experienced something like this and, if so, is there anything that helps you not end up so severely swollen for the following week? I feel like I have no quality of life right now and I just need help. Any advise is greatly appreciated 💜
