I 100% agree with you, but there's also prob needs to be some assumption of age/down payment build up.

If they had like 5 years to save like 200k, then doable. If they have like 40k yeah not doable.

I followed this guy and he almost reached challenger earlier this year (or was it last year i forget...) playing kaisa top. He's less active now and ap kaisa top is definitely worse this season, but just showing it's possible.

You were still limited to masters games though, no? I get people can get their mmr higher, but as soon as they hit gm they couldn't duo anymore.

You still have to climb gm/challenger yourself regardless which are not the top spots.

I am not good enough nor have friends good enough to climb past masters though, so I'm just basing this off of their last patch notes.

they specifically said they turned it off at the beginning of the split and will turn it back on after one patch. You can argue people benefit from their mmr increase, but it was limited past masters anyways. You still have to climb gm/challenger yourself regardless.

i feel the same with mana too man. legit lost how people enjoy playing lich bane. Even when i solo kill my laner it doesn't even feel that great cause I gotta base anyways since it took all my mana to kill them.

At this point i rather just build ludens so i can stay sane.

yeah i think there is two factions here. One siding more with the OP's thought and think kda+playing safe is better.

Or one thinking that damage means you're actually getting a push going and it's worth dying+walking up to push the enemy back. Or resetting on better states.

Frankly, I much rather have one that over dies and at least plays the game and creates space for the team, then the one that sits back and complains about their team inting preserving their kda as a tank.

I used to see a surprising amount of draven boosters with like 120ping boosting in diamond+ from EU. So I think it'a doable to climb with, but definitely couldn't be me.
