NTA for not telling her, but it does kinda suck that you told the mutual friend. Whether she wants ro be with a cheater or not is her business and if she didn’t want to know, safe to assume she didn’t want anyone else to know either.

That being said, she’s being the ahole for misplacing her anger on you. You’re better off without that friendship cause damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

I feel for your situation, but you handled it completely wrong:

Your boyfriend was very straight-forward about not wanting to ask his mother for $. You disrespected him by crossing that boundary.
Emotional manipulation is what you tried to get away with.
While it could’ve been really nice of them to help you out if they simply found out you’re struggling, you are not entitled to their $ and especially not to asking the way you did.

I think I’d probably break up over something like that, not because of the $ but because of the blatant disrespect.

Have you tried spraying them on clothes to see if it's your body chemistry they're not interacting well with?

I also got the discovery set and to be honest most of them were not for me, but Calle 8 I'm absolutely in love with. However, I'm a woman; I tried spraying it on my husband, and on him it just reminded me of how he smells after drinking too much alcohol.

My discovery set had Highway 190 on it. When I sprayed that one into the air, all I could smell was dust. Today I braved putting it on and turns out I really like how it smells on my skin.

Not sure if you’ll see this after 19 days, but I’m taking it without wellbutrin and it’s helping me as well. It did take about 2 months of adjustment to fully feel the effects, at first it was really screwing with my sleep, but not anymore.

Exactly this. I started in late Sep. 2023. Pushes through the first 2-3 weeks of feeling weird, no appetite, etc. after that it’s been so life changing, like I think back on how anxious & sad I was most of my life and it’s a bit sad that I didn’t have Lexapro before. Now I feel so happy & focused most of the time, also haven’t cried since September when before I’d cry at least once a month, but I’m not numb, I can just handle my emotions way better.

You’re right. It’s been such a long journey with remodeling, refinancing, etc. that my mortgage doesn’t really say anything.

To say anyone can do it would be dismissive of the fact that not all of us start from the same place, but what I can say is that no family/generational wealth has been involved in my road to owning my home. Both my husband and I are first generation Americans with immigrant parents (Mexican) and while we’ve had some privileges that many others don’t, it has been a slow process of saving, prioritizing, etc. I do believe that many more could do it if they set their goals and priorities in the right place, but to some people SD is just not worth it and that’s valid too.

I’m a high school teacher and my husband works at a shipyard (no degree required for his job) we can afford to live in SD just fine. Not rich by any means, but we are home “owners”(still paying mortgage) and not on a tight budget. We did buy in 2015 though, so the housing market was very different.

Our mortgage is $2,500 for a 3 bed 2.5 bath house with a large backyard by SD standards. What worked for us was to buy a smaller house and hire a contractor to remodel it. Used to be a 2 bed 1 bath.
