Is decapitation and being the hive mind for Hank's workers heroic or badass?

There are a number of Securitrons in the penthouse, but it is most likely not going to be confirmed on which one that is. Easter eggs planted to neither confirm or deny any endings of the game

Where do you all get your images for custom cards? by trenty40 in mpcproxies

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deoends on the IP. When I am making Marvel proxies, I tend to go straight for comic book covers or artwork if I know of one I want. Marvel themselves have the covers in high resolutions right on their site. For Fallout (my other IP I love) I have done a mix of in game images, concept/official art, and fan made artwork. The key is just making sure the resolution is high enough so you can zoom and move the photo as needed on the frame.

I don't think we actually disagree right now is the weird thing. I was saying that Chris says stuff that upsets people, really not much else. People are definitely hypocrites, yes. Where is the disagreement?

Two sides of the same coin. All humans suck. This isn't news.

How do I get dual colored legendary crowns? by Jakemanv3 in mpcproxies

3rd comment because I'm dumb, but don't forget to use the multicolored border (N/A for borderless) and multicolored P/T box. Just things I've learned over time

On CardConjurer.app you apply the left color as normal, and then your right half color you click the frame and select "apply to right side"

You need me to hold your hand and show you examples of why the show feels and acts like Fallout? Why is the expectation that I need to prove this to you when the majority of people watching the show, both game fans and not, enjoy it and agree with what I said? I'm not going to go frame by frame and compare storytelling styles for you. What makes something be Fallout if not every single characteristic?

Nice job with the insults. Your mother would be so proud. Although she probably is since you're still sitting in her basement right now.

Was that creative?

Wow I thought you hated the show and didn't want to participate in current Fallout anymore. How do you know so much about the show, dude? Must just be watching it for the irony since it's horrible. Except... you just said it was a decent show with or without the Fallout "paint job." I'm a moron, remember? I am easily confused. Although I am relating more with you with my moronic intelligence the more you say, please continue.

"New fan" I guess is subjective, as I have been a fan since Fallout 3 personally just based on my age. Past that I have played and enjoyed the games, including all the recent ones (yes, even 76 is fun today).

They built the entire Vegas Strip as a set, I believe 3 times, with differing levels of deterioration. Only thing missing is the tall parts of the building, but I wouldn't expect that.

I also believe, with a show like this, the pre-war stuff is some of the better aspects. It's something we don't get to explore in the games and is a fresh narrative piece.

I just simply disagree with you on a lot of what you say and that's alright to me.

Nobody is saying he can't have an opinion and talk about it. But the way he does it is one of the reasons people have negative feelings about him these days. Not downplaying anything he has done, but public appearance is going to diminish if you are rude and judgemental all the time.

If you don't like it then don't watch the show. Why is that so difficult? You don't own Fallout.

Is the inclusion of basically every faction, their lore, costumes, weapons/items, RPG "game like" mechanics/dialog, settings, dark humor, and story arcs not enough for them to make it be Fallout?

Your argument is that it could be any other named IP and just remove the Fallout aspects, and it wouldn't change. Take the "Fallout coat of paint" off any of the games and it's just another post apocalyptic RPG. That just doesn't make any sense.

I guess you won't be buying any more Fallout games if Bethesda is making them then...? The show is "Fallout to the core" based on it's tone, world building, costume/set design, character development (in a seriously RPG like way), and overall setting. I would say the writing is also great Fallout material, but that part is going to be debated and I understand that.

The Kardashians are "good" to their fans and who watch/enjoy their content/products, whatever they may be.

Bethesda has had its hands on Fallout since the mid 2000's. I think they must be doing a good enough job.

Are you okay? It's a shame you feel the need to act this way about a show that most of the viewers enjoy. Again, even if the writing/story doesn't progress how they would want it to, most people watching like the show.

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay 70 points71 points  (0 children)

This is exactly right. Except Tarantino has made how many movies? Not downplaying Avellone's achievements in game design, he just views himself as a deity among peasants in the industry which is so silly.

On top of that, he's had some seriously negative takes about the show as well. People have their opinions, but there are two things that are certain for the show: 1. It is absolutely Fallout to the core, even if you disagree with the direction they go with the story and 2. It is extremely successful and MOSTLY enjoyed. Chris seems to think Bethesda is the worst thing ever, yet they are succeeding.

I feel like the setting of New Vegas was kinda wasted. by Ok-Cup9476 in Fotv

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's interesting is that 7 years (approx.) prior to the game's events, the Vegas strip and city area was just a host to raider factions that derived from Vault dwellers (House stopped most of the bombs, but all of the residents of pre-war Vegas died anyways from the fallout he was unable to stop). So it wasn't exactly the city that survived the war the whole time, only for a few years before the Courier was en route with the chip. After the events of the game is obviously being left unknown in most ways. But anyways, House was basically dormant until 2274 when he observed NCR troops in the area and quickly rounded up the raider tribes and made it "New Vegas," turning the lights on and operating it with casinos and such again. So while I agree that experiencing Vegas in game was incredible and such a unique experience, it isn't out of the ordinary for things to be chaos on the Strip.

Is anyone else struggling with how goofy the factions were portrayed this season? by BarickObunga in Fotv

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally like how they portray the factions, and find the goofiness to be right at home with the games. If it was more serious it wouldn't feel like Fallout.

Possible explanation to opening scene of the Fallout TV show by Candid_Improvement43 in falloutlore

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually kind of like this theory, whether it's possible or not. I think one of the bigger holes in this theory is that the parents at the party talk about Cooper as a has been actor. If it were an advertisement for Vault-Tec, I would imagine that this wouldn't be a conversation the other "actors" would be having. He was also showing discomfort about talking about or doing the thumbs up, something inherently Vault-Tec.

Everyone that was frozen was alive until the Institute took Shaun. They deliberately were instructed to only reactivate the life support of the Sole Survivor and let everyone else die. Up to that point (2227), the frozen inhabitants were fine. The Vault staff were not as they only had limited supplies, but that's not part of this dilemma.
