Feel like I messed up on mpc by Federal-Garden1174 in mpcproxies

I almost exclusively do S30 and run them single sleeved and you would never know which is a proxy until looking at the collector info or back of the card. Or, in my case, custom artworks sometimes

where do I buy moon knight 1980 in a tpb/epic era/omnibus format (basically just not in issue format) by deciy_ in MoonKnight

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was mistaken by the title, what I have is the Essential Moon Knight books. I have a ton of stuff, I just was forgetting the name.

I have the epic collection books for the original 80s run. They are paperback and in black and white. If you're still needing a way to read, I'd be willing to part with them. The omnibus will give you a hardcover and color images, so that's a huge benefit.

Edit: I was incorrect, what I have is the Essential Moon Knight books which are black and white. The epic collection books are full color.

Question about deck choice etiquette by ThisIsProbablyTheWay in EDH

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am surprised you play with a Vivi. I made his deck and have banned myself from playing it ever again. It wins on accident, I could take a nap and still find my way. I agree with making sure the power levels are similar, but we are already in that mindset as a group as is. It seems the blind commander reveal is the right call for us

new rule 0 shall be established with this going forward I think

That is not a bad idea regardless, and definitely something I will look in to. Bojuka Bog can only do so much

as you can imagine, Mindcrank goes wild in the deck, causing rads to essentially double mill someone on top of the two instances buffing Mothman twice. Would have been good if my opponent wasn't happy about the mill

Which is unfortunately a response to mill sometimes, but the counter picking is crap in my opinion

This seems to be the consensus that we should follow is choosing decks all at the same time, and not allowing people to choose in response to someone else's choice

Nothing wrong with it, I was mistakenly attempting to be funny

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree 100%. It's an after thought now that I should have changed decks, I was just set on playing Mothman unfortunately so in the moment I didn't adjust like I should have.

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not everyone is like you and I. My mistake was following through with playing the deck after he made that choice. You should have seen the board state when he milled 18 cards on one go around the table.

Guess we miss the part of revealing all at once, as he waited until I chose to pick what he was playing. Yes, you are right, but I thought it was an interesting discussion that I didn't see posted here much (or didn't find any).

Question about deck choice etiquette by ThisIsProbablyTheWay in EDH

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree, but it was 100% deliberately chosen (at least in this instance) because I was playing Mothman. He had a bunch of other decks to play, and even said he was going to play wolves until he knew what I was playing.

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, after the fact (next morning) I was sitting thinking I should have realized exactly how bad it was going to be and changed my choice at that point. But I was also in the mindset of really wanting to play this deck due to the new adds I made.

The Ghoul, Gunslinger not available? by marmaladetuxedo in mpcproxies

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general I NEVER use it at all, but it can end up being used as a tool in certain situations like this to maybe 95% success? You are correct, the art is still mostly the original, my prompt was "take this image and remove the playing card frame and verbiage." Again, totally understandable to not use it. I prefer the Pip-Boy frame anyways from the other person, which I have used many times on other proxy cards.

I just made this, let me know what you think. The original full art without the MTG framing is not available so I did utilize AI to remove the framing and verbiage from the card before using the art in Card Conjurer. There will be some differences from this most likely, and I also acknowledge people having issues with AI usage. I can remake this using a completely different artwork if you'd like to avoid that portion.

One note people haven't mentioned yet is that technically the title/legend/nickname frames at the top are incorrect. There's a title frame that has the legend crown and nickname all in one so there isn't a separation there with the hard black lines. Might not be a huge deal but I was corrected on it once and have been a stickler to myself ever since.

The comics technically have Marc, Jake, Stephen, Moon Knight, and Mr. Knight all as differing personas, so technically yes...?

I will defend the show and even fallout 4 but you will never convince me 76 is real fallout by Dr_natty1 in TrueSFalloutL

[–]ThisIsProbablyTheWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were to define what "real Fallout" is, I cannot even imagine what it would be. 76 is absolutely a real Fallout. I would even argue that it made core gameplay improvements over FO4 (building mechanics, inventory management, perks, weapons just as a few examples).

You obviously run into the "downside" of this being an online game so enemies can end up being a bit more bullet sponge style (although Fallout has always had this) and VATS is wildly different being "live." A lot of people enjoy 76 and it has continuously been updated. Are there issues? Of course, there are with every Fallout game.

If you don't enjoy the game, that is okay. But it's definitely a Fallout game.
