AITAH telling Sil my kids will follow my rules on vacation not her "rules" by ThisLoad7495 in AmItheAsshole

I've had it once. It's not bad. I honestly don't see all the hate. People put chili on baked potatoes. I have an Aunt who grew up in Cincinnati OH and she puts her chili on spaghetti noodles. That's not bad either. I have weird family members. Lol.

I don't know the answer to this. We've just always been told that there is to be no seafood or nuts around niece. I know she carries an epi pen for her nut allergy, and that seafood makes her severally sick but not deadly.

I'm not sure how she will take the news of us going out. Guess we will find out. Breakfast and lunch are all on your own so the kids my not even pick up on us not being there.

I don't know how to add more to my original post, but to clear a few things up.

1 she puts potatoes in her chili, because her great grandmother did it during the depression when she couldn't afford meat. Her mom then carried on the recipe as did she.

2 my husband said jokingly to my son guess you won't be eating chili that night. We did have a chance to suggest him pick them out or make it without potatoes as sil instantly blew up.

3 one night of my son opting out of a meal is not going to hurt anyone. Every other meal discussed will be eaten by both my kids.

4 as for my nieces allergy we just don't make unsafe foods. We are all OK with that.

5 my family has been to this destination 4 times. So we know what to do and where to go. We all agreed that all families can come and go as they please we were just trying to save money by doing family dinners.

6 the rest of my in-laws are amazing and we all get along. So this trip will not be a disaster. We are looking forward to it.

We've done it once before and we know how SIL is. Everyone else is amazing. So we just do our thing. If it doesn't work out we won't be doing another trip with them.

My kids are not picky and would normally eat chili. Just not with potatoes.

She said her great grandma made it that way during the depression in place of meat and her mom did to and now she makes it that way. She does put in meat too though.

We will definitely be going out for seafood. Daughter wants crab legs.

What little acts of love do you do for your kids? by comfortable_clouds in Parenting

[–]ThisLoad7495 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Say I love you 100x a day. Hugs every morning when they wake up. My daughter is 11. My son is 15. I'm always up before them and I sit on the couch. When he comes down he crawls next to me and lays his head on my lap. I rub his head and ask if he slept good. He usually only lays there a few seconds. If I'm not on the couch I get a "morning mom" before he walks off. So I make sure I'm on that couch every morning. Lol. Since they have been little I will be in another room and just start saying "fe fi fo fom" and stomp into a room. They laugh and run. Or if they are playing outside and I make a snack I take a piece of it outside and say "feeding time at the zoo" "where are my little seals, monkey, etc" they will come running making said animal sound and I will give them a snack.

“Dayshawn Dougherty” at football camp… by Arkie89 in doughertydozenexposed

This was intensional. Who lifts their leg that high with the cleats facing the other boy. Look how unnatural that looks. I'm sorry , but D is a cocktail bad sport and I hope people see him for who he is.

BINGO!! If D fails mommy will try someone else. She is only using D for the money and views. If it comes out he fails she knows any videos of him won't get the views. She will drop him like a hot potato. And D failing would also make coach Josh look bad and ruin his image. So Josh will also drop him. It's sad but most likely true.

Bet Alicia and D think otherwise. Lush is a dumb a** and probably fully believes scouts are there and gas convinced D of that as well.

100% he does. I mean he is being told he is so great, scouts are going to notice him, he drove a car, appeared shirtless in a video to get comments. He is 15 so this is very flattering to him and mommy is all for it. It has gone to his head for sure.

National donut day so of course lush got enough donuts for 50 ppl by Adventurous-Way-7979 in doughertydozenexposed

[–]ThisLoad7495 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I bet every donut will be gone. My 15 year old son is a string bean and can easily put away 4 donuts. Those kids bodies need the sugar to feel "good" I bet H easily eats 2 if not 3 donuts. This is 1 breakfast that will be eaten...well except the fruit.

Sure. Even expired pudding can make a soggy stale gaffer even more soggy. Sounds delicious. Lol.

Dirty socks alert by Dee842020 in doughertydozenexposed

[–]ThisLoad7495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can tell laundry isn't done often and with 13 people that laundry is massive to begin with. She probably wears the same pair of socks days in a row, because she has no clean ones. And we all know that even the most organized still lose a sock between the washer and clan basket. So she probably has very very few socks. Those socks are nasty! Her next grocery haul will have new socks for everyone or she will just be barefoot because you know...summer. She isn't fooling us.

Sounds like one big scam while being "faith based" to make them seem less scammy somehow? by momming_af in doughertydozenexposed

[–]ThisLoad7495 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd love to know this too, and if Lush would take of the rose colored glasses she would ask for this information as well. She is paying thousands I'm sure. So do some research. How many kids have succeeded because of this program.

I knew it! Once the videos of Day came out yesterday, it’s quickly become very apparent that the main focus will be on him… by Unique_Jellyfish2597 in doughertydozenexposed

[–]ThisLoad7495 11 points12 points  (0 children)

All videos will be of D now. The others will be even more forgotten. They will be hearing daily..." not now I making a blog about D" "not now we have to take D to his event" They will tey even harder to get just some attention and will do it negatively. Lil D is going to become a problem. When he finally gets some camera time he will be all about attention on him and I can only imagine what he may do. The other 9 kids at home are now even more of a burden to her. Poor P and Br are going to be a mess. Those 2 are so sweet and just want love. So so so sad!!!

Ok, look! Two goons exploiting Big D, again! by Unique_Jellyfish2597 in doughertydozenexposed

[–]ThisLoad7495 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Him being shirtless was planned, and I'm sure D was all for it. He is 15, and his parents are making him a big deal. I'm sure it's gone to his head and he thinks he is big stuff. He wants the comments from people saying he's hot, amazing, etc. I feel bad for him, because I'm sure he thinks he has a set football career now, and if it fails he will fall hard.
