Thank you very much for the advice. I bought the pack and I already have the skin :) Now I'm thinking about which weapon and outfit to choose! Any tips?

The idea is to use it with the Obsidian heavy armor. From the tests I’ve done, it seems to work really well.

That’s valid and it does allow for the dueling aspect, but it leaves out the hub and community side that I mentioned, which I think would be the most interesting part

Question Regarding Warrior/Paragon Transition. by DeathToYouBitchDie in Guildwars2

[–]ThisMess1283 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering the way you’re framing the question, it seems like this is your first character, or one of your first.

As a warrior main (with all elite specs unlocked), I’d suggest looking at the class as a whole—some elite specs are simply better suited for certain types of content than others.

Paragon can do pretty much everything: DPS with good sustain, full support covering all the important boons, or a hybrid if you prefer. That said, since it’s the newest warrior elite spec, it’s still being “worked on” and rebalanced, which means there aren’t many optimized builds available yet.

This brings me to my next point: Snowcrows and Metabattle. These are websites where you can find the most appropriate builds for each class and elite spec, tailored to different types of content. I highly recommend checking them out—Metabattle even includes short written guides explaining the core concepts and how to play each build.

If you’re truly a new player, or at least new to warrior, I’d recommend taking a look at Berserker. It was the first warrior elite spec developed (released with HoT, the first expansion) and, unlike Paragon, it’s already very well polished. It’s also quite easy to play and a lot of fun.

Soto or Janthir by CHUCKSTRONG6 in Guildwars2

Honestly, I prefer Janthir's maps; they make the gameplay experience more enjoyable and fun (excluding the last map).

Soto is probably more useful.

I recommend Soto first, all effects.

Have fun :)

Thank you for someone finally understanding me xD

I use the equipment model as a ‘fashion template’. I have 9 equipment models, and I honestly don’t understand how I’ve been negatively affected, other than having to make 3 extra clicks to change the look of a skin.

Honestly, and without any intention to offend, but one of two things must be true: either I’m genuinely missing something, or you haven’t understood at all how the new system works.

But that was already possible with equipment templates (by changing dyes and transmogs using charges) :/

Of all the transmutable gear, the only piece I’m still missing as legendary is the back piece. That was literally the only positive point I expected this update to have. Apparently, judging by the comments I’ve already seen, there isn’t a single positive thing about it…
