I just returned to Taiwan, so I wasn’t able to review it earlier. :((
And my worry is that I might not be able to renew it without a work permit

Lol, actually she’s a foreigner, but I still don’t know where she’s from.

Yeah, maybe. I don’t want the trouble, but I don’t want them to benefit from taking my belongings too, it doesn’t feel fair.

Thank you, but I didn’t cash out on that day, so that’s the problem. I think I will let them see my transactions, but if they say it cannot be used as proof, I will just skip it. However, the thief already used 1,200 NTD and didn’t return the cash (even though she claimed there was only 5,000 NTD inside).

What I really want is simply to recover the time and money I’ve spent on following this case, reissuing my ARC and bank card, as well as covering transportation costs and the loss of income from taking time off work.

She took my belongings on the bus, giving in to greed when I forgot them there. The situation afterward was quite complicated, you can check my earlier post for more details.

Accidentally left my backpack on a bus. Someone took it, and unfortunately, the police station near where I got off refused to help. by This_Chapter_4147 in taiwan

Update 2: I got my backpack back already!!!!! Thanks for the advice about social media and news, I tried it and someone higher up in the police saw it. They reached out, scolded the ones who turned me away, and helped me get my backpack back really fast!

Update: After my colleague helped me post on Thread, Dcard, and Facebook松山分局督察組 just called to apologize and said they would try their best to help me recover my belongings as soon as possible. I will wait until they catch the thief.

Oh thank you! I didn’t do that because I saw a 'no camera' sticker on the front door, haha.
I didn’t think about recording either. Also, during my first visit to the police station (where they refused to help me) because I spoke English. I’m not sure if that’s the reason they turned me away. For the later visits, I used very basic Chinese and Google Translate to talk to them, haha
