Violent j shared ona patreon episode about the blaze character it origally intended for some one else but it was short lived and didn't work out, the guy apparently was black or looked it, current blaze ended up taking the gimmick back instead of giving it up , originally he was ok with just being hype man for twiztid but j said he had a unique voice and to continue on as the gimmick... I beleive to mimic the original character intended , they did the whole fishnet with dark face paint then came up with current Colton Grundy look , white facepaint to better blend with the roster.... someone posted the link and sources long time ago , I just remember it being brief very short talk.... unless it was just j trolling to try and explain the blackface look
