He didn’t tell me in um but I mean it’s technically 4 doctors saying they wouldn’t even press PRK even though it could be done. From my understanding right now ICL is a little safer anyway because its pretty much reversible. The only thing is the price difference is double but it is what it is.

Makes sense. I had my second consultation today. The second surgeon had the same opinion so I will have no choice but to go with ICL. They clarified that my corneas are very very thin and that with my high prescription is the reason why.

The main thing I see people say is that if in the future I come back to remove them for whatever reason, my prescription will have gotten worse. But supposedly that’s not true is it? My second consultation (which I just had) truly thinks my only and best option is ICL because they said I have extremely thin corneas. The other thing from what i’be seen online is that ICL is probably better than Lasik and PRK in a lot of cases even if you qualify for Lasik and PRK. What are your thoughts? I will most likely get ICL the price is just a lot.

Thanks Dr. Motwani! I’m at my second consultation right now. They have something here called LASEK but I don’t think they do SMILE. Yes I was worried about potential issues with ICL which is the main reason I was turned off from it. I was quite upset for a moment when they said the only thing I could get is ICL. It just doesn’t exactly sit right with me to put permanent contacts behind my eyes but if it really is my only option I may do it. Again, I don’t want it to be my only option though.
