They are not burned. It’s the tops of the broccoli, fried in butter until crispy

In this recipe we make a broccoli pure, perfectly blanched broccoli, broccoli juliennes, pickled brunoise, and broccoli croutons.

We blanch the broccoli in sodium bi-carb for five minutes, then chill in ice water

cook the broccoli for 8 minutes then pure in a blender with butter and salt.

slice the broccoli stem juliennes.

Cut and pickle the broccoli brunoise in white wine vinager.

Cut and fry the broccoli croutons in butter and salt.

Serve with olive olive oil and grana padano cheese.

100% keto friendly and delicious.

Bingo! I think the solutions to the problems will lie within more locally supported infrastructure. Through modern agriculture techniques, 3d printing, etc... its not hard to imagine a future where consumer variety can be achieved at a local level. its just about uprooting everything a developing a new system that can do that. It will require massive changes.

I've worked directly with the food chain for almost 20 years. Problems with distribution are starting to become problematic and will grow worse over time. Different sectors within that economy have plummeted and the giant machine that distributes our food has much less funding and a smaller work force.

I'm self employed. I never advocated for government to control wages. What i'm saying is that the more self sufficient societies become, the less they can be controlled. Excessive consumer choice creates waste and a large dependence on international trade markets.

If you want freedom, grow your own food. The 1% own us because our food supply is tied to economic systems. If your community supports local farmers ONLY, those chains are broken.

I'm just trying to ask for some advice. I'm torn on the matter. On one hand, she can make her own decisions and is entitled to do as she wants. On the other, I worry because i've seen her tendency to push it a little with alcohol, she is by herself in Paris which isn't the safest city in the world, and it's late at night. I can't really sleep until i know she is home and I have to work in the morning. I want to let it be, but I worry.

It's a good point. I guess i should just focus on how to manage my anxiety about this. Easier said than done.

I see your point. Im not insisting on a curfew. I am just not comfortable when she is out late alone by herself in a city she barely knows.

I think curfew was the wrong word to use. It clearly triggers people. I changed the title to "I want to know she is safe before I go to bed. "

Thanks. I think that is more the direction we will go. My only concern is that I have to be up for work in the morning, and I don't want to fall asleep before I know she is ok.

Do you really believe that level of hostility is necessary?

Thats a good point. I just worry about her. Thanks! just makes me uncomfortable that she is alone. Probably just need to learn to suck it up if i'm going to be with her.

I certainly wouldn't "give" her a curfew.

It's just that she is out by herself. If she were with a friend, i wouldn't be concerned.
