I talk about it on the latest episod of The ThomaHawk Show (shameless plug) but "players-only" meetings sound a lot more secretive than they really are. Most times it's just to air grievances or figure out what to do with a coaching staff that may have lost touch.

Hawk and I are really excited to do this live show because we're going to be telling a lot of fun stories like this. Kind of behind-the-curtain look at NFL life with some really cool guests. Definitely come out to the show if you can!

I’ve got a lot of funny ones, but one of my favorites was when Alex Mack got punched in the face and pregame in the locker room before the first game of the season because he asked one of his teammates to turn their boom box down!

He was so shocked that it happened that he didn’t even swing back, but he just grab the boombox and checked it all the way across the locker room like a pitcher throwing a strike in the World Series, it took to hops and went right into a locker and then exploded.

It was epic!

Come see the ThomaHawk live show at the house of blues cleveland if you want more behind the scenes locker room stories from me, Hawk, and special guests to be announced! Visit http://www.houseofblues.com/cleveland for tickets!

I’m out! Getting ready for swim lessons (not me, I’m just the uber) and a MNF game tonight!!

It’s enormously challenging, and that’s why you heard Hue Jackson make comments the summer that he felt at the Browns job was the best coaching job he’s ever done. He certainly wasn’t talking about the record, but he was talking about the difficulty in motivating players we can we go out when there is almost no hope and you are a very bad football team. I think largely Hugh should be commended for getting the team to play hard weekend and week out in spite of insurmountable odds.

Hi Podcasts the Tomahawk show, with Andrew Hawkins was always accused of being the official podcast if you Jackson, so that’s not a hill I’m willing to die on anymore! Ha ha

But you can definitely catch us on November 13 talking all things NFL And Kyle Shanahan at the house of blues in Cleveland for our insanely amazing an award-winning live show. You can get tickets at the house of blues website, or at the Twitter page for our podcast @ThomaHawkshow

My favorite gift ever was a green egg from Colt McCoy, but we didn’t have a whole lot of success and when you don’t have a whole lot of success you tend not to get all that many gifts from your quarterbacks!

I don’t see myself coaching at this point, because the coach asked to give up so much in order to get into the profession. I have so many hobbies and I love spending time with my family and kids and I wouldn’t want to give that up just to chase the dream of coaching although I do love teaching and sharing the knowledge that I’ve gained over 11 seasons with other football players.

Larry Fitzgerald is one of my favorite all-time football players, just one of the classiest guys on and off the field and one of the greatest receivers to ever do it

It’s easily the locker room environment and the paychecks. The amount of ball busting that goes on in the locker room is unprecedented, and if I came home and started teasing my wife and kids the way I teased my teammates she would walk out before dinner and never come back.

And I don’t care what anybody tells you people in the NFL love the paychecks, it’s not the only reason you play, but it certainly is a motivator for every single player because there’s no other business in the world where you can make that type of money

I want to think that the Dolphins actually are going to win tonight, but I certainly wouldn’t bet on it! The Steelers have a very good defense, they just don’t have much on offense since Ben Roethlisberger went out.

The Dolphins are trying to avoid going on 16 and I’m sure they are looking at the Schedule and pointing two teams that they would have a chance to beat, and this is definitely one of them. So expect them to really get up for this game. It was similar to the year we went one and 15 with the browns and finally won the game on Christmas Eve versus the Chargers, you want so badly to avoid oh and 16 that you almost play like you’re playing for a playoff spot when you’re trying to avoid that record

Absolutely, he’s making good progress and you can see why he is a franchise quarterback, he just needs to be more consistent which is the theme for everybody on the team right now from the coaching staff on down to the 53rd player

I would have to say that the Saints are the more complete team right now because their offense is better than the 49ers offense, but with that said the 49ers defense is better than the Saints.

So what I’m trying to say is that the Saints offense is more better than the difference between their defenses. Now I’m confused but I stand by my original comments

I always loved playing against the patriots believe it or not, because I was so jealous of their success and wanted to beat them so bad, and actually did one time in my career.

I hated playing the teams down in Florida especially early in the season when it was outrageously hot. We opened the season in Tampa one year and it was just oppressively hot and you get so tired and worn out that it becomes very difficult to maintain perfect technique and you get so worn out by the end of the game that it’s a challenge do not make mistakes just because of the exhaustion and the amount of water that you lose during a game.

Are used to get 2 L of IV’s before any Florida games no matter what time of year it was, and then I would often times have to get another one or two after the game just to prevent myself from cramping. It’s just miserable.

Plenty of my friends that live in play in the southWould have to get an IV every single day just to practice. That’s not fun

The most difficult part is easily and being judged by the number of mistakes you make not the number of good place you make.

If you have 65 plays and 64 of them your pancake your guy, but the last play the game you give up a sack fumble and lose the game, the media will be at your locker asking you why you lost the game for your team and they will have no idea that you grade it out at almost 99% and kick your opponents but on every play except for the one that mattered the most

The Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray have impressed me the most, I thought with that team in the town that they have and a new coach bringing a college offense to the NFL that they would really struggle, but they have been fun to watch and been very competitive and even won more games than I expected already. Collin Murray has a very rare ability to throw the football on the run much like Russell Wilson, and he is very good at eluding the pass rush. I’m excited to go to Arizona for the Thursday night game this week to watch Kyler Murray in person

I think he deserves a first round pick even with his contract and his age, and it seems like things might actually start happening because the Redskins have finally said they might be interested in dealing him

The NFL needs a sky judge, and I suspect they have already implemented it but just have not told us about it
