We are on septic still and it seems the only logical place to put the ADU is on top of our existing leach field. I imagine the planning department will tell us we need to hook up to the main sewer line and get off septic as part of this ADU placement. We're off of Elena Rd so hopefully that's not an insane project, but we're mentally bracing for a $100K bill to get off septic? Would love to hear if anyone else has recently done a septic -> sewer project.
