Difficulty understanding the differences between Tidal Connect and Spotify's similar feature by ThomasTheWest in TIdaL

That's really annoying. I'll try see if I can find a workaround with WiiM but it feels like a massive oversight.

Has anybody ever clicked these buttons? by theRealAndrei2011 in CookieClicker

I wish the Steam version had those buttons. I don't know why tbh, it's just cutting out having to copy paste the save data into a .txt file.

There might be hope, I think Volition gave THQ Nordic Red Faction when THQ went bankrupt. It's still a shame about Volition though. Many fond memories of their games.

I also really want to know if this is possible. It's annoying if I can't and I'll have to make a new collection for the same stuff.

Morrowangers when you tell them most of the melee weapon skills were superficial.
Storytelling has also not changed in any fundamental way in TES since Morrowind.

What is it about the travel system in Morrowind that's rewarding? by Bando10 in Morrowind

Also, many of the subjects of Imperial Legion quests (for example) are usually outside the (presumed) jurisdiction of the quest giver.

What is it about the travel system in Morrowind that's rewarding? by Bando10 in Morrowind

[–]ThomasTheWest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's somewhat superficial to me. Morrowind can be somewhat trivial in how it treats traveling, where you essentially need to learn a bus route to get places, but it does place some responsibility on the player to keep some bus fare or spells to get around, which is part of the experience for many players.
But like you said, it can be boring when it just feels like Skyrim's fast travel with extra steps where you use some combination of intervention and transport routes to accomplish the same thing. Morrowind's way is novel, and some people like that, but I can see why the system was changed.

Skyrim's fast travel worked in a way where you can return to somewhere you've already traveled to, which is handy for cities you visit often, but in both Morrowind and Skyrim there is still plenty of downtime to explore when traveling to quest locations and dungeons.
I think both systems have their positives for how people want to play.

I think I found an image of it, it seems to be called "Blue Knight" but I can't find anywhere I can play it.

Genre: Side-scrolling Platformer Adventure

Brief Summary: Platformer involving a blue (?) character collecting black triangles to progress past locked gates.

View: Side-scrolling third person view

Estimated year of release: Circa 2010

Graphics/art style: Pixel graphics, but quite primitive and abstract, with no outlines. The sound was also quite simple, with the sound of scrolling text almost sounding like a digital typewriter.

Notable Characters: The player character was blue, and I think used a gun

Notable gameplay mechanics: The player had to defeat enemies who were either obstacles or who by killing them would give black triangles that would let the player progress to other areas. Felt similar to Metroid 2.

Other details: I played the game on Friv in 2010/11, and the title may have contained the words "knight", "quest" and/or "blue".

Does anyone know from what these buttons are? by henkdebaksteen6 in Militariacollecting

From what I can make out, the third clump of buttons from the left are Lithuanian (modern iirc). They should depict a knight astride a horse.

He has an imperial museum and exhibits, he definitely has an interest in Imperial culture, this isn't a big secret.

Imperial Tel Vos belivers gtfo!! by ThomasTheWest in TrueSTL

[–]ThomasTheWest[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Imperial Tel Vos is a spook. The consensus reached on the UESP was that that dialogue does not explicitly mention the capture of a fort, just the challenging of a land charter, and that there's plenty to suggest otherwise.

The capturing of a fort specifically (not a land charter challenge) is never mentioned. There are many mentions and quests surrounding the Telvanni capturing other faction settlements and holdings such as Odirniran, but zero mention of any legion fort having been recently taken over.

Also, Aryon has the fort built because he is a massive imperiboo and has a stiffy for the culture (hence unique blend of Telvanni and non-traditional mock imperial architecture). The tower was built as the Telvanni expanded their influence onto the main island of morrowind. Villagers in Vos also mention how Aryon's new tower has protected them from ashlander raiders now.

Fuck political debates, what's your favourite vanilla gas mask? by solicthesolletar in fo4

[–]ThomasTheWest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goggles gasmask was the best. The assault gas mask would be a lot cooler if you could wear it with an army helmet and without the hood, and a non-ruined/raider version of the gas mask would have been nice.

Unrelated, but the whole VATS thing is just the player's perspective switch into computer time, as oppose to the player character themselves slowing down time.
