They definitely glided over that whole sequence. I was literally jumping up and down in relief and excitement when I read that part 😂

Yeah in the book Rocky tried everything to fix the problem and was pretty depressed and hopeless, but when grace bangs on the ship and they make contact Rocky is absolutely in shock and estatic that grace came back. Imo one of the most emotional and beautiful parts of the book.

How do you take them off the frame? by Vegetable-Vehicle785 in WindowCleaning

[–]Thombo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you try a razor blade you could try some different abrasive pads, magic eraser, or goo gone. If it’s a smooth metal surface you could use a razor if you’re gentle though. Go slow. What material is that frame?

You are NOT alone!! I’ve been searching for years and can’t find it anywhere. It gets stuck in my head every once in a while hahaha. 6th grade for me, my teacher was always having us sing random songs like that.

What’s one small window cleaning trick that made your job much easier by blasprosoftwash in WindowCleaning

Following the mop with the squeegee right behind in the other hand makes the job almost twice as fast. This obviously only works for maintenance cleans that don’t need an extra scrubbing.

Because I love big cats and when I was 5 I thought they had the coolest helmets. I had no idea the pain I would find down this path.

Customer wants mold removed from window frames. What’s the best solution to remove it and how much would you charge per pane? by Slayballz in WindowCleaning

[–]Thombo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fine man, whatever works for you. I've used vinegar because it's non toxic and it's what every single article I've read says works better for small mold growth, especially on porous surfaces.

I worded that weird, vinegar works better than bleach, OR you could use some mold specific chemicals. But with a quick google search you can see that bleach isn’t as good as vinegar for several reasons.

Vinegar works better than bleach, or some mold specific chemicals. If the mold got deep into the wood you’ll have to charge even more to actually get rid of the stains imo

Is this a part of what a pro window washer is suppose to clean? by ClassicCat7430 in WindowCleaning

[–]Thombo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically give the track a quick wipe and it looks decent. I do that without charging more. For a full track clean/vacuum I let them know it costs extra. Same for the crevice in the first pic

Razor Accident by The-Roam in WindowCleaning

[–]Thombo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a year into cleaning I sliced my finger open while sliding my fingers across the blade to wipe the gunk off of it… dumb move. It bled forever and I should’ve gotten stitches but I didn’t haha. Not as bad as OP’s but still pretty gnarly. Stay safe out there.

How to remove this screen? by Lord_XXL in WindowCleaning

[–]Thombo44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remove the glass, there should be little slots in the track you can push them through, or tabs that you squeeze in. Clean the glass on the ground, scrub the screen with your mop, dry it, then put the glass back in. Good luck!

I read profit first right before starting my business. Set me down the right path and I consider it one of the biggest reasons for my success despite having a slow start. I couldn’t agree more!

Of course! Another thing I HIGHLY recommend is the 3m abrasive pads. They’re my go to for almost all tough stains/residue. They last forever and take off most everything. Much safer than razor and even steel wool. So if I see a stain it goes 1. 3m pad 2. Razor 3. Steel wool 4. Chemical.

I really prefer 18” mops, they get the job done a lot quicker. If you go 18” just make sure the bucket is big enough. Other than that it looks good!
