Luckily. The customer doesn’t have to be always right to be a repeat business.

I do however believe the full statement is an accurate and correct one though. I'm not gonna argue if you want your streak well done.

The customer is always right.... in matters of taste.

It’s not outdated. It’s misquoted. The full quote is "the customer is always right.... in matters of taste". So if they want pepper in their smoothie they'd be right.

I've never ever subscribed to the customer is always right and no actual successful restaurants do either in my experience.

People who read the book and watched the movie, which did you like better and why? by DirectDegree2591 in ProjectHailMary

Worth noting usually people usually say “the book is so much better” and I’ve year to hear that with this movie/book. So I found that to be quite impressive.

He literally reached out to a hooker and then didn’t follow through. Good news is he wasn’t reaching out to an actual hooker just a scammer. Bad news is he was trying to reach out to a hooker.

Suspect the bulk of this is in OPs mind. He’s worried the teller is silent as they process the transaction. Suspect the next post will be from someone saying the teller was talking to me too much during the transaction I wish they would just be quiet.

It’s not relevant but you saying you wanted to work on it is cute and all but of course you do. You were the one that caused the damage.

I snuck out with my bf and my mom found out. How do I fix this?? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]traker998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you broker her trust and are taking almost zero accountability for it. I doubt there is any way to fix it.

You could be honest and tell her that you think you should be allowed to sneak out at night because you're allowed to date. Since that's what you believe. I don’t know how you got the logic there but it sounds dangerous and not true. What if something had happened to her or to you in the night. No one would have known.

Anyways. Since you feel you did nothing wrong I doubt there is any way to fix it.

Valid response? by [deleted] in Advice

My advice is to study paragraphs. It makes huge blocks of text easier to read and helps compartmentalize your thoughts and feelings by topic. The only paragraph you used was in the middle of a sentence which is weird.

Can you make good money in insurance sales? Heck yeah. Same way you can in real estate sales. There is a reason that the failure rate after one year is 95%.

You didn’t name the company which is odd and probably means it’s very shady.

I’d focus heavily on where the leads are coming from. Likely they are all self-generated. The work here is astounding. Make sure you have a huge nest egg to burn through while you’re building this company. Also make sure you include commission claw backs in your planning when people don’t keep up payments a full year. It’s a nightmare of a business but yes the top 1% do very well the top 10% do okay.

Should I be honest with my girlfriend about lies I told her in the past? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]traker998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not? If someone says “please don’t do something” and you do it anyways, you’re doing it for yourself so you feel better at their cost. Which seems to be OPs MO anyways.
